Cassie, seeing the silence, took hold of Leo's arm. "Well then, dad, if they refuse to leave, we shall," she declared.
" Cassie," Leo responded, his voice laced with anxiety. Leo's Group was all he had left to give to Cassie.
Cassie leaned in close, her words a mere whisper in Leo's ear. "Dad, have you forgotten that tonight, the majority of Madison's reporters are here? They are broadcasting live as we speak."
Leo's eyes widened as he realized his oversight. The scandal had already spread across the internet like wildfire. The reputation and honor of any company's leader were on the line. These shareholders, insistent on keeping Atlas and the others, would soon face the wrath of public criticism.
"They will soon be begging for your return," Cassie reassured Leo, her gaze filled with unspoken meaning.
