Chapter 29 Each relies on their own abilities

Meeting Room, CZ Decoration Company.

The president, Freddie Torres, had already received the notification from the center and excitedly called for an emergency meeting.

Cassie, Freddie, a project manager, and another designer, Matthew Bailey, attended the meeting.

"Cassie, I didn't expect someone so young to be so capable of actually securing the bidding qualification for the center. This is a major project that Silverwood has been working on for five years," Freddie praised. "Whether we get the project or not, participating is extremely beneficial for our company's future development."

Cassie said seriously, "Mr. Torres, as long as our design concept is good, we can definitely win. We have to believe in ourselves."

The project manager sighed. "It's tough. Two listed companies are participating in the bidding, and several others have over ten years of experience with dozens of branches. I think the final winner might be Height Architectural Decoration Company."

Cassie felt a pang of anxiety.

It was normal for Height Architectural Decoration Company to participate. Such a project not only made money but also brought prestige. However, she wasn't too worried. She knew the designers at Height Architectural Decoration Company had experience but lacked creativity.

She thought for a moment and said, "Mr. Torres, now that we have this opportunity, we need to be bold and try. Since it's a science and culture center that will be open to the public, we can integrate cultural and scientific concepts into the design, allowing people to experience a different aspect of future development."

"That makes sense," Freddie praised. "Then you and Matthew will collaborate on the design. We still have half a month. Don't worry about other things; focus on this project."

Hearing this, Cassie immediately felt helpless.

Although they hadn't spent much time together, she had noticed that Matthew, being two years older, was quite arrogant. Despite not being very skilled, he always liked to boss people around.

He often copied designs from pictures, which was fine for ordinary interior design, but he was not up to the task for such a major project.

She thought for a moment and said tactfully, "Mr. Torres, I think Matthew and I should design separately. Each designer has different concepts, and working together might lead to conflicts. Besides, we're young, and competing with each other can inspire more creativity."

Freddie pondered, but Matthew disagreed, thinking Cassie wanted to hog the spotlight and wasn't considering the company's interests. He thought she was young, arrogant, and not humble.

In the end, Cassie convinced Freddie. Matthew and she would each rely on their skills, and in fifteen days, Freddie would decide which design to use.

Cassie's words were neither humble nor arrogant, with a touch of flattery, making Freddie feel very comfortable.

Freddie said, "Alright, let's do it this way. Matthew, don't be upset. Cassie is not your assistant."

Freddie then left directly.

However, after this incident, Matthew held a grudge against Cassie and often made sarcastic remarks in front of her.

Cassie didn't take it to heart at all.

For the next half month, Cassie focused on the center's design.

Sometimes, Joseph would wake up in the middle of the night and see the light in her room still on, and her dark circles would get heavier by the day.

However, he didn't say anything, thinking it was good that Cassie was driven and ambitious.

After all, he had gone through the same thing back in the day.

At the end of the month, Joseph came home from work and saw Cassie smiling and looking relaxed.

He raised an eyebrow. "Did you finish the design?"
