Chapter 64
"Cassie was trying to figure out how to proceed if she were on top when a shadow suddenly came over her.
She looked up, saw the familiar figure of the man, and took two steps back, tilting on her high heels.
She was about to fall, but Joseph reached out, held her by the waist, and pulled her into his arms to stabilize her.
Under normal circumstances, Cassie would have been a little nervous, but her mind was filled with images of Joseph not wearing clothes. Now her nose was touching his chest, causing her face to turn red like a peach.
""Am I that intimidating?"" Joseph raised an eyebrow.
""No, I was just lost in thought earlier."" She quickly took a few steps back to maintain distance.
""Get in the car."" Joseph opened the car door and got into the driver's seat.
Cassie saw someone in the passenger seat and reluctantly got into the back seat. She was embarrassed now and couldn't face Noah openly.
""Hi, what were you thinking?"" Noah had a mischievous smile. ""Let me guess. Were you thinking about Joseph?""
""Yes, I was thinking about him,"" Cassie said quietly.
Joseph, who was driving, felt a tingling sensation in his heart. He lifted his eyes and glanced at the woman in the rearview mirror, who was lowering her head, revealing two red ears in her black hair. He subtly raised the corners of his mouth.
Noah covered his chest in frustration and said, ""You two are truly sweet, but Joseph has a bad personality and a bad temper. What do you like about him?""
Cassie wanted to applaud. He couldn't have been more accurate. ""When you fall in love with someone, their flaws become strengths in your eyes. Gentle and understanding men make me feel insecure. I like Joseph.""
Joseph's smile deepened involuntarily.
Joseph thought, but this woman better hold back a little. There are still others present.
Joseph glanced at Noah.
Noah, feeling deeply rejected, asked, ""Should I not have come with you?""
Joseph ignored him, but Cassie said, ""No, no, Mr. Collins. You're funny. It will be much easier with you around.""
""Are you saying that I am uncomfortable to be with?"" Joseph suddenly became displeased.
Cassie quickly came up with a response. ""Isn't that natural? When you are with someone you like, your heart always beats fast, and you feel awkward.""
Joseph quietly placed his hand back on the steering wheel and said nothing.
On the other hand, Noah envied them. He wished he had met a girl who couldn't go three sentences without confessing her feelings.
Afterward, Cassie sat quietly in the backseat, playing with her phone.
Suddenly, Laura sent two videos.
Usually, Laura would send her happy videos, so Cassie assumed it was the same this time and opened them directly.
Before she could react, the passionate moans filled the car, followed by explicit scenes appearing on the screen.
Startled, she quickly closed it.
However, the car had already hit the emergency brake, and both men looked at her in surprise.
In that moment, she really wanted to jump out of the window and escape.
""Um... I can explain. I accidentally opened a link, and it popped up,"" Cassie said anxiously.
Noah awkwardly rubbed his nose. ""It's okay. I secretly watch those at home too. I didn't expect us to share the same interest.""
Cassie didn't feel comforted by his words.
With a cold expression, Joseph warned her, ""I'm telling you, you are not allowed to watch those again.""
