Michael found it unbelievable.
It didn't matter if others insulted him like this.
But Megan couldn't.
Michael had lost a good marriage for her, and his child couldn't stay by his side.
Michael had even lost the inheritance of the Jude family, the love of his father and elders, his reputation, and his child.
In the end, Megan accused Michael of being selfish.
Michael looked at the crying Megan in front of him. She still looked the same as before, but now, it was like he was seeing her for the first time.
It turned out Megan's tears could be so fake and pretentious.
How foolish he had been to sympathize with her and pity her.

Michael angrily pointed at her nose, "You say you have sexual needs, don't I have them too? But did I ever betray you? In the end, you're just a cheap woman, Megan. If you have any sense of shame, you'll leave everything I gave you behind. And return every penny I gave you, not just the divorce settlement, but all the expenses during this time, the wedding costs, the gifts, every single cent."
Megan's face changed. Taking money from her was like taking her life.
"Michael, don't treat me like this. I still need the money for treatment."
"Haven't you found another rich man? Didn't you say you love him? Let him give you money. I'm a useless person, unworthy of you." Michael sneered, "Megan, if you dare to scheme against me, be prepared for the consequences. I may not be what I used to be, but the dignity of the Jude family is not something you can trample on. Now that things have blown up, even if the man behind you helps you and I can't do anything to you, my family won't let you go. If you want that money, let's see if you can leave Whisperlyn City alive."
Megan panicked.
Her original plan was to divorce and quickly go back to Avaloria with Landon, without completely breaking with Michael. She didn't expect Michael to find out the truth in the worst possible way.
Although the reporters hadn't broadcast the news, Michael's release from the police station must have alerted the Jude family.
Even though the Jude family had ignored Michael recently, an issue concerning the family's dignity would definitely anger James and his wife.
No one in the Jude family was someone Megan could afford to offend.
But Megan really didn't want to give up the money. First, she was reluctant, and second, she had spent too much recently and didn't have that much money.
In desperation, she tugged at Landon.
Didn't he just say it was a small amount of money? If he loved her so much, he should help her out.
Landon pretended not to understand her meaning and said sternly, "Michael, are you even a man? Asking for money back from a woman? So what if the Jude family is rich and powerful? At worst, we'll go to court. Even the court won't make her return everything. Unless you're not afraid of disgrace."
"So, you don't want to give it back, do you?" Michael stared at Megan coldly, as if trying to see through her completely.
Megan was scared by his stare and cried, "It's not that I don't want to give it back, but you know, I spent all the money you gave me on treatment. I don't have that much money right now. Give me two days to think about it and I'll give you an answer."
"Fine, I'll give you two days. But during these two days, you stay here and go nowhere. As for this man."
Michael glared at Landon, "You have to leave."
"No way." Megan instinctively grabbed Landon's sleeve. She was afraid Michael would hit her. The previous slap had hurt her.
"Do you think you can detain Megan?" Landon squinted.
Michael said nothing, just clapped his hands. Soon, several tall bodyguards walked in.
Seeing Landon and Megan's ugly expressions, Michael sneered, "I may not be what I used to be, but I'm not so weak that I can't handle a rich outsider and a woman. Either give me an answer today, or Megan stays."
Megan was scared, clutching Landon tightly, whispering, "Landon, let's talk."
Landon raised an eyebrow and accompanied her to the side.
Megan quickly whispered, "Landon, I can't stay here today. Didn't you see his hatred for me? If I stay, he'll beat me to death."
"So what should we do?" Landon asked nervously.
Megan cursed him for being stupid in her heart but weakly said, "Why don't you help me pay him back first? I've spent a lot of the money he gave me, and I don't have that much right now."
"How much do you need?"
"I don't remember the exact amount, but it's about three hundred million dollars."
"That much?" Landon was shocked.
Megan felt embarrassed, "I spent a lot on treatment before, and when I was in a bad mood, I liked to shop and spend money. I also participated in some charity events. You're rich, right? This should be a small amount for you."
"Three hundred million dollars is indeed a small amount for me." Landon smiled bitterly, "But I can't get that much liquid cash right away. My family is afraid I'll spend recklessly, so my money is managed by a professional team under my mom. I can't get it out."
"How about two hundred million dollars?"
"Still no."
"Then how much do you have?"
"I only have twenty million dollars in cash right now," Landon said tactfully, "I had tens of millions before, but I've spent a lot since being with you."
Megan almost went crazy. After all this, Landon was also poor, poorer than her. "Can't you borrow it?"

"Have you finished talking?"
Michael's impatient voice suddenly came over, "Megan, is it so hard to pay back the money? Or are you just a money-loving woman?"
