Chapter 94

"Robert frowned. His lips moved, but in the end, he didn't say anything.

Twenty minutes later

In the restroom

Mona cautiously appeared next to Olivia, looking uneasy.

""Miss, am I being suspected? I'm innocent. It was you who asked me to make a false testimony.""

""It's fine. I've dispelled their suspicions."" Olivia took out a card from her wallet and handed it to Mona. ""This is the compensation for you. I don't want anyone to know about today's events.""

Mona's eyes lit up, and she eagerly accepted the card. ""If there's anything you need in the future, please let me know.""

""There is one thing."" Olivia's lips curled into a cold smile. ""You must take good care of my grandmother. I don't want to see any signs of improvement from her.""

Mona was taken aback. She looked at this young girl, and a shiver ran down her spine.

But for the sake of money, she nodded without hesitation. ""No problem. By the way, I haven't congratulated you on your engagement.""

""It's an engagement, not a marriage."" Olivia's expression remained indifferent. She wouldn't be foolish enough to marry Arthur if he lost his inheritance as the successor of the Lewis Group.

The next morning, at half past seven

Cassie was still lazily lingering in bed.

Ever since she moved out and stopped cooking breakfast for Joseph, she felt like an entirely different person.

Her phone suddenly rang, breaking the silence.

She pressed the answer button, and an anxious voice came through.

""Something terrible happened! I just arrived at the construction site and found that the water in the villa was left running all night. Now the whole house is flooded.""

Cassie sat up abruptly. ""Don't worry, I'll come right away.""

She hurried to the construction site, where the water from the villa had already flowed outside, submerging the newly installed water and electrical pipes.

When the construction team leader saw her, he started trembling with panic.

""It's all over! Everything's ruined. I checked the water and electrical pipes on the ground. They've been soaked all night. They are completely destroyed. What do we do? Mr. Foster will definitely hold me accountable. I can't afford to pay for this. I remember turning off the main water and electricity switch last night before leaving.""

Cassie reassured him, steadying his mind. ""I believe you.""

It was clear that someone did this intentionally.

With only two more days left for the water and electrical installations to be completed, the financial loss was a minor concern. She was more worried about walls sinking, foundation leakage, project delays, and damaging Billy's reputation.

Billy had just entered Madison, and this blow could be devastating for him.

As the person in charge of this project, she would become the scapegoat. In the future, even acquaintances might hesitate to hire her.

Whoever was behind this was truly ruthless.

As she was pondering this, a car suddenly pulled up at the main gate.

Shortly after, David, Kathleen, and Grandpa Foster stepped out of the car.

""Dad, this is David's new house. It's your first time visiting here, so take a good look around."" Kathleen helped Grandpa out of the car.

""Dad, I've told you that the water and electricity are still being installed. You won't see much right now."" David sighed as he got out of the driver's seat.
