Chapter 943 You Are the Hernandez Family's Sinner
"I did not." Liam shook his head, looking around in bewilderment, only to see the entire conference room glaring at him with hatred and anger, as if they wished to kill him with their eyes.
"I did not betray the Hernandez family," Liam repeated his explanation. "Yes, my father approached me before, but I refused to help him."
Mabel trembled and then asked, "Your father asked you to give him the company's chip data?"
Facing his mother's skeptical gaze, Liam had no choice but to nod. "Yes, he told me he is the largest shareholder of the Chamberlain Group and tempted me by saying the Chamberlain family would be mine in the future, but I didn't agree."
Mabel nearly lost her balance.
Although she had long sensed Marcus growing colder towards her and often not coming home, she never imagined Marcus could be so terrifying.
Three years ago, she gave Marcus a large sum of money to help the Chamberlain family, only to later find out she had been deceived. She blamed Marcus, and over the decades, she had helped the Chamberlain family time and again, never expecting Marcus to be so ambitious.
Ambition was one thing, but to lack conscience and a moral bottom line was another.

"Mabel, what kind of man did you fall for?" Celeste cursed angrily. "For such a man, you insisted on divorcing Cameron. You brought a wolf into the house, personally supporting the Chamberlain family, and now Marcus's son has stolen the chip data."
Mabel was too shocked to utter a word.
She had once been the pride of the Hernandez family, but now she had destroyed it. Yes, she was foolish, foolish beyond cure, to have fallen for such a bad man.
"Celeste, let me say it again: I did not." Liam gritted his teeth.
"It must be you." Celeste glared at him hatefully. "Liam, you are my nephew, and I don't want to suspect you, but I don't believe you are innocent. You have always been unwilling to be under Joseph's command. Your father is a major shareholder of the Chamberlain Group, and with such a large stake, you must be tempted. The Chamberlain family will be yours sooner or later."
"Exactly, Liam, don't take us for fools. In the Hernandez family, you are just a general manager, with Joseph above you. But in the Chamberlain family, you are Marcus's only son. You have the motive, and recently, with Joseph not in the company, you, as the general manager, handled all the Hernandez family's promotional work and had access to the lab. It could only be you," another shareholder added.
"Enough, call the police," a third person said.
The shareholders grew more resentful of Liam. Some even stepped forward to push Liam.
Even Caleb stood up and retorted, "Liam, I have long suspected you. These days, you have been actively taking over the signing of Purple Chip's contracts and not allowing us to intervene. You claimed you wanted to handle things personally and warned us to keep an eye on the staff to prevent data leaks, but you were pretending all along."
"Caleb, is what you say true?" Joseph's sharp gaze swept over.
"Mr. Hernandez, it's absolutely true," Caleb said indignantly. "For the past few days, Liam rarely let executives handle chip matters. He even said that with you absent, the Hernandez family was under his control."
Liam's expression changed drastically, and just as he was about to speak, a slap landed squarely on his face.
Liam turned his head, looking at Isaac's angry face, feeling bitter inside. "Isaac."
"Liam, you are the sinner of the Hernandez family." Isaac pointed at him, trembling. "You and Dad are both villains. If you have any conscience left, you should come clean about this."
"How can I come clean about something I didn't do?" Liam roared in anger, looking at everyone.
They all gazed at him with distrust. Even Walter, Celeste, Joseph, and Mabel wore expressions of doubt.
"Mom, you don't believe me either?" Liam's face showed despair. "I am part of the Hernandez family. I could never do anything to betray the Hernandez family."
"Liam..." Mabel looked at him in confusion. She realized she couldn't see through people anymore. She used to insist that Marcus was innocent, but reality had slapped her in the face.
"Take him to the police station," Joseph suddenly ordered Wyatt behind him in a cold voice. "Liam, I will get to the bottom of this. If I find out you did this, I will make your life a living hell."
Liam felt a chill all over his body. Before he could react, Wyatt and a few men from Dragon pressed him and led him out.
This farce finally came to an end. But everyone was in despair.
Joseph glanced at everyone, his voice hoarse. "It's late. Everyone should go home and rest."
Xavier gave a bitter smile and then said, "After such a serious incident, who can sleep?"
Joseph pressed his thin lips together and stated, "Over the years, the Hernandez family has faced many trials and tribulations, but we have always upheld our integrity. If the Hernandez family has breached contracts, I will compensate our partners. If we fall short, I will cover it. If the Hernandez family truly cannot hold on, I will resign."
With that, Joseph turned and walked away against the light.
However, Joseph did not leave the company; instead, he went straight to his office on the top floor.
He had just sat down when Nathaniel rushed in and shouted, "Mr. Hernandez, Walter fainted as soon as he left the conference room."
Joseph's sharp eyes darkened, and he immediately got up and went to the hospital.
After arriving at the hospital, the doctor said that Walter had suffered a stroke due to excessive stress and might be paralyzed in the future.
This was undoubtedly another blow to the Hernandez family.
Celeste immediately started fighting with Mabel and roared, "This is all your fault, Mabel. First, you married an ambitious wolf, and now your two sons are causing trouble. One steals company secrets, and the other steals someone else's wife. Dad has been in a bad mood lately, even getting mocked while fishing for our family's lack of upbringing. Now look, you've driven him to a stroke."
Isaac squatted in a corner, dejected, letting them fight, his whole being in a daze.
Mabel let Celeste hit her. Her mind was in chaos, the insults lashing at her like whips. She felt her whole life was a joke.
As a wife, she chose the wrong husband and harmed the Hernandez family. As a mother, she failed to raise her sons properly.
Mabel covered her face and cried in pain.
Until Joseph stepped in and stopped Celeste's arm. "Enough, this is a hospital. If you keep shouting, I'll have to ask security to escort you out."
"Joseph, you have no right to control me. Soon, you will be nothing. The richest man in Silverwood will be Liam. Yes, he might even change his name to Liam Chamberlain," Celeste said with irony.
Celeste cried and cursed hysterically.
Joseph's thin lips pressed tightly together in a grim line. Suddenly, Yvonne rushed in, crying. "It's bad. Richard has been arrested."
