Chapter 895
Heavens, driving a ten-thousand-dollar Santana, how incompetent must this shabby-looking lawyer nbsp;be?
nbsp;
"Indeed, this is Mr. Allen." Cassie warmly approached and shook hands with Thomas.
nbsp;
Thomas smiled awkwardly, especially when Joseph's piercing gaze swept over him, making his legs feel weak.
nbsp;
"Holy crap, where did you find this trashy lawyer?" Nathan couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Mr. Hernandez, look at his clothes; they must be cheap, and his shoes are all worn out. It's hilarious."
nbsp;
Joseph frowned deeply at Cassie. Was this the lawyer she found to overturn Spencer's case?
nbsp;
Cassie kept her smile, silently watching them.
nbsp;
After Nathan finished laughing and wiped the tears from his eyes, he asked, "Mr. Allen, can I ask how much she paid you?"
nbsp;
"Not much, just three hundred dollars," Thomas said sheepishly.
nbsp;
"That's too funny," Nathan mocked, giving Joseph a thumbs-up. "Cassie, I understand you've given up hope of winning against Mr. Hernandez, but you're being too dismissive of Spencer. You wouldn't even spend a bit more to hire a decent lawyer, just three hundred dollars. If you're that stingy, I could lend you some money. Hiring such a low-level lawyer, aren't you afraid of losing face? Even Mr. Hernandez would feel downgraded."
nbsp;
"You misunderstand." Cassie smiled slightly. "I think hiring an expensive lawyer to deal with Joseph is unnecessary. After all, we'll win anyway, so it doesn't matter who we hire."
nbsp;
"What, am I hearing things, or are you daydreaming?" Nathan laughed heartily. "Mr. Hernandez, she said this lousy lawyer could beat you."
nbsp;
"Dream on," Joseph said coldly. To him, it was clear that Cassie had given up hope.
nbsp;
But Joseph understood that most people would give up hope when facing him.
nbsp;
"Enjoy your moment now," Laura sneered. "When the case is over, and people find out that the famous undefeated legend lost to a three-hundred-dollar lawyer, he will be a laughingstock."
nbsp;
"I don't understand why you indulge in such unrealistic dreams." Even Megan shook her head this time. She held Joseph's arm. nbsp;"Joseph, let's go inside. Let's not nbsp;waste time here."
nbsp;
Joseph nodded and walked away.
nbsp;
Behind him, Nathan whispered to Cassie, "You can't win, but if you come and beg me and let Laura sleep with me for a few nights, I might ask my sister to reduce Spencer's sentence."
nbsp;
"Get lost," Cassie said expressionlessly.
nbsp;
Laura cursed directly, "You trash, you want nbsp;me to sleep with you? Get lost, you don't have the right."
nbsp;
"Laura, I'll make you regret it sooner or later," nbsp;Nathan sneered viciously, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, I fed Spencer's fingers to the dogs. Mr. Hernandez loves Megan so much that when she wanted his fingers, he cut them off and sent them over without a second thought. The dogs enjoyed them very much."
nbsp;
Cassie looked up, her eyes turning icy cold and her fists clenched in anger.
nbsp;
Nathan laughed as he walked away.
nbsp;
"Bastard," Laura cursed. nbsp;"We'll make sure those siblings suffer a fate worse than death sooner or later."
