Chapter 928 Her Wedding

"I really sympathize with you, getting entangled with someone of Madison's wealthiest caliber," Laura sighed. "And you can't dump him; it's only allowed for him to reject you, not the other way around."

Cassie listened, a flicker of disdain crossing her brow. She despised men like Joseph, who didn't know how to cherish what they had.

If she could start  all over again, she truly wished she had never met Joseph.

At eleven a.m., relatives of the Foster family began to arrive one after another, all coming to see the bride.

Cassie put on her high heels and stood up just in time to see Kathleen, Arthur, and Kayla walking in together.

It had been several years since she last saw Arthur. When she left Madison, Arthur had to date Kayla to secure his position in the Lewis family. Now, he and Kayla were still together.

"Cassie, long time no see," Arthur said, looking at her with a complex expression.

After more than three years, she had become even more beautiful, especially today. In her snow-white wedding dress, her exquisite face, enhanced by the makeup artist, made her look like an angel.

In his youth, he often fantasized about marrying her. He never imagined that one day, she would marry his uncle.

"Arthur, this must be your wife. She's very beautiful," Cassie said with a serene smile, nodding at Kayla.

"Cassie, hello." Kayla nodded back. She knew that her husband had always been hung up on an ex-girlfriend, but now, Cassie was marrying David. So, Kayla had no fondness for Cassie but no malice either.

Cassie was stunned.

She couldn't help but think of her younger self, often fantasizing about Olivia greeting her like this. Unexpectedly, Olivia and Arthur had also broken up later.

"Kathleen, is this the bride? She's so beautiful." Some of the Foster family's distant relatives suddenly started talking to Kathleen.

Kathleen glanced at Cassie with slight contempt. "Beautiful, yes, but unfortunately, she's second-hand."

The relatives' expressions varied. "Why is David marrying a divorced woman? David is now one of Madison's top entrepreneurs and a young noble. Someone like her doesn't match up."

"After all, David is utterly infatuated with her." Kathleen sighed deeply.

Some of the Foster family relatives immediately cast disdainful looks at Cassie.

Cassie listened, frowning slightly. Kathleen had never liked her, and after all these years, nothing had changed.

Laura was furious and was about to speak when Arthur, already displeased, glanced at his mother and interjected, "Mom, Cassie is a good match for David. She's the chairman of the Peace Group, worth billions, let alone her status as a top global designer. Her father is Aiden. It's David who is marrying up."

"Wow, so the bride is quite impressive." The relatives' gazes at Cassie immediately changed.

"You can shut up now." Kathleen glared at Arthur angrily.

"Mom, you should go outside and greet the guests. Many relatives have arrived," Arthur reminded her irritably, finally managing to disperse the group of women.

"Finally, some peace. Arthur, I didn't expect you actually to do something good for once," Laura said with a smile.

Arthur got angry, but thinking of past events, he still felt remorseful. "Back then... Olivia deceived me. By the way, have you seen Olivia since?"

At the mention of her,  Cassie's face darkened. "Three years ago, Olivia had plastic surgery in Whisperlyn City to look like someone else, and then she disappeared. I always felt that someone powerful was helping her."

Arthur also showed a trace of unease. "I hope she never shows up again."

"Yes." Laura sighed. "One Megan is enough to give us headaches. If another Olivia comes along, it will be trouble."

Cassie frowned. She always felt that Olivia was more cunning than Megan, and she believed that Olivia would definitely reappear.

"Cassie, here's my contact information. From now on... we are considered relatives," Arthur said bitterly, handing her a business card. "I was wrong before; I always hurt you. If David or my mom ever bullies you, you can always come to me. Even if I'm useless, I will always support you. Besides, I'll be going to Whisperlyn City in a few days."

Cassie was stunned. "Is the Lewis Group expanding to Whisperlyn City?"

"No, I left the Lewis Group." Arthur shook his head. "Kimbere is growing bigger and bigger, and it's already a leading pharmaceutical company. My mom wants me to develop alongside David."

"Then work hard," Cassie said, taking the business card.

After Arthur left, Laura winked at her. "You used to want to be Arthur's aunt, and now not only are you his aunt, but Arthur also has to work in your husband's company."

"Forget it. That was years ago. It doesn't matter anymore." Cassie smiled serenely.

Soon, the wedding banquet began.

To the wedding march, Aiden slowly led Cassie by the hand toward David, with Sophia and Oliver scattering flowers from baskets behind them.

The wedding hall, though small, was exquisite and luxurious, with every flower flown in from abroad.

The air was filled with a pleasant floral fragrance. Cassie looked ahead at David in his white suit, looking like a handsome and refined prince.

She had once fantasized about a romantic wedding with Joseph, but Joseph had repeatedly let her down.

In this life, someone finally gave her a perfect wedding, and she truly felt very happy.

"David, take good care of my daughter," Aiden said as he placed her hand in David's.

"Dad, I will." David solemnly held Cassie's hand.

Soon, the priest began the ceremony. "Mr. David, do you take Cassie to be your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do you part?"

David said tenderly, "I do."

The priest smiled at Cassie. "Miss Cassie, do you take David to be your husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do you part?"

Cassie nodded slightly and said softly, "I do."

The priest said, "Now, please exchange rings, and then the groom may kiss the bride."

After they exchanged rings, David gently kissed Cassie's lips through the veil.

At that moment, a reporter immediately captured the photo.
