Julia seemed to ignore Laura's shouting and continued calmly yet assertively, "If you have the child, not only will I ensure that the Miller family has no worries in the future, but I will also improve the Miller family's prospects. Moreover, you will receive ten percent of the Jude Group's shares. Of course, you can choose not to marry Michael, or you can marry him and divorce if it doesn't work out."
"So, you just want me to have this child." Laura was on the verge of losing her mind. "It's just a pregnancy. You could easily arrange for any woman to have Michael's child. With enough women, you could have ten pregnancies a month."
Caroline sighed. "The Jude family really wants a child. We truly hope this child can come into the world."
Laura gave a bitter smile. "To me, it's just a fertilized egg right now. How can I consider it a child?"
"Laura, I will make sure Michael takes responsibility for you," James sincerely persuaded.
Julia said indifferently, "Remember what I said. If the child is gone, you'll bear the consequences."
Laura was on the brink of collapse. She didn't want the child at all. It was so unlucky for her to get involved with the Jude family.
"Laura, come back to the Jude family with us," Caroline said, reaching for Laura's hand.
However, Laura pulled away and turned her head. She grabbed Cassie and left.
Laura's cold and indifferent attitude made Caroline feel terrible. "In my life, I've only forced Michael and Laura. I really don't want to do that, but I want Laura to pull Michael out of Megan's mess."

Caroline had no choice. She thought that by having this child, Michael would understand the responsibility of being a father.
"Julia, thank you for earlier," James said helplessly, glancing at Julia.
Julia tugged at her crimson lips. "Mom, Dad, this is the last time I'm helping that idiot Michael. From now on, I won't bother with his affairs."
Julia turned and left without looking back. She always maintained a proud and upright posture. But as she turned the corner, Julia's shoulders slumped, and she exuded an indescribable weariness.

"Grandpa, what's the emergency? Hurry up. I have a lot of work at the company," Michael lied, as he planned to visit Joseph at the Hernandez family later.
Michael cursed inwardly, 'That bastard, Joseph, actually sent Megan a lawyer's letter. He must be crazy for money.'
"You haven't been to the company for three days, spending all your time around Megan. How dare you talk to me about work?" Eric wanted to slap Michael.
Eric asked himself inwardly, 'Why do I have such a disappointing grandson?'
"How do you know? Did Laura tell you?" Michael suddenly got angry.
"Shut up. Laura didn't say a word about you." James, unable to bear it, slammed the table and took a deep breath. "Yesterday, Laura went for a prenatal checkup, and our acquaintance happened to see her. That's how we found out Laura is over a month pregnant. The child is yours, and you must marry Laura."
"Not happening." Michael's handsome face twisted in anger. "Laura must have done it on purpose. I told her to take birth control pills, and she said she did. Turns out she was lying. I get it now. Laura pretended not to want to marry into the Jude family. Laura is so bad. She must have arranged for our acquaintance to see her at the checkup."
Caroline couldn't take it anymore and slapped Michael across the face.
"Mom, why?" Michael was in disbelief. Caroline had always doted on him and never hit him. "You've been deceived by Laura, and you hit me for her."
Caroline's body trembled. "You must be out of your mind. Even if I hit you, you couldn't be more foolish than you are now."
Eric said angrily, "The acquaintance who saw Laura at the checkup is your friend, Lucas. Lucas happened to be at the hospital for a clinical surgery. Tell me, how could Laura have arranged for us to find out? And Laura had scheduled an abortion today. Caroline and Julia rushed over to stop her. Laura really wanted to abort the child. Julia threatened Laura with the Miller family. Michael, you have a bias against Laura, so you always think she's bad. You should let go of your prejudice and see Laura for who she really is. Laura is a very good girl."
Michael pouted. He thought maybe he had misjudged Laura. "Why would Lucas tell you instead of me? He should have told me."
"Told you so you could take Laura for an abortion?" James sneered. "Lucas did this to stop Laura from aborting. Lucas used to support you and Megan being together. Why does he support Laura now? Because even Lucas sees Megan as not simple. Can you wake up?"
"I don't want to hear you badmouth Megan. I won't marry Laura. You forced me into the engagement," Michael said irritably. "And Laura lied about taking birth control. She's bad."
"You're wrong. Laura did take the pills." Eric suddenly sighed. "Julia had the pharmacy switch them. Michael, as a man, you need to have basic responsibility. Did Laura seduce you? No, she was set up by Nathan. Now Laura is pregnant. Have you seriously thought about the fact that it's your child? You're going to be Dad."
