Chapter 914 Could It Be That Lucas Realized Something
Michael was feeling quite depressed.
Suddenly, Eric's call flashed on the phone.
Michael was so startled that he almost threw the phone away. Now, seeing a call from the Jude family felt like receiving a death notice from the Grim Reaper.
The call stopped, but soon it rang again, persistently.
He had no choice but to answer, "Grandpa..."
"You have no right to call me Grandpa. You treat my words like nonsense, you ungrateful brat. I should never have let you out." Eric fumed. "I let you out this morning, and by the afternoon, you went to propose to Megan. Come here and see if I don't beat you badly."
"Grandpa, Megan is very pitiful. I must stand up to protect her at this time. I don't understand why you all have such a big prejudice against her," Michael said in frustration. "Cassie is an outsider, and you believe everything she says. I am your grandson. I can tell if Megan is good or not."
"Shut up, you idiot," Eric scolded angrily. "If you dare to marry Megan, don't ever return to the Jude family in this lifetime."
"Sorry, Grandpa, but I must marry Megan," Michael replied without hesitation.
"Very good, Michael. Don't regret it." Eric angrily hung up the phone, almost fainting from rage despite his old age.
"Dad, please calm down." James hurriedly comforted.
"Get out. What kind of son did you raise, purely here to anger me," Eric snapped.
James sighed. Eric had clearly forgotten that Michael was the first grandson of the Jude family. When he was born, Eric couldn't help but smile, treating Michael like a treasure.
"Go, go get Julia back." He ordered.
Soon, Julia returned.
Eric said, "Julia, I have a task for you. I don't care what method you use. You must not let Michael marry Megan into our family."
Julia had a headache. Why did such matters always fall on her?
"No choice," Eric said helplessly. "In the Jude family, only your heart is the most ruthless. Only you can be this harsh."
Julia gave a bitter smile. She didn't know whether to feel more happy or sad.
The next day, in the evening, at the Ocean Blue group's new product launch party, Michael was simply on cloud nine.
In his career, he had secured Laura, a super ace, allowing the company to launch a firming essence. Many internal employees had tried it, and the results were very good. It was foreseeable that the sales of the Ocean Blue group's products would break records again.

"She's here," Michael said, his eyes lighting up as he looked at Megan entering through the door.
Tonight, Megan wore a red velvet dress with a large, girlish bow at the neckline and a high-slit mermaid skirt on the side. The dress made her skin look snow-white, playful yet youthful.
As soon as she appeared, it was as if a spotlight was cast on her, capturing everyone's attention. Beside her, Nathan wore a black suit. The siblings walked in, drawing envious glances from the crowd.
If there was a woman in all of Madison who was most envied, it was naturally Megan. Without Mr. Hernandez, she dated Mr. Jude. It's known that the Jude family might produce a new president next year.
"No wonder Mr. Jude is so infatuated with Megan; she is truly gorgeous," one guy said.
"Absolutely, her figure is simply that of a rare beauty," someone else added.
Hearing the waves of compliments, Megan felt a surge of pride.
So what if she broke up with Joseph? Megan could still be the center of attention.
Sarah also looked on with secret envy. When Joseph dumped Megan, she looked down on her a bit. Who would have thought...
Megan was indeed complex. No wonder she could suppress Cassie so thoroughly back then.
Only Lucas frowned. When Megan walked in just now, he caught a fleeting glimpse of hidden pride in her eyes.

Megan had clearly liked Joseph for more than ten years. She had just broken up and even attempted suicide for Joseph. Could she really throw herself into a relationship with Michael in just a few days?

"Megan, Joseph hurt you so deeply, yet you still think of us," Michael said emotionally.
"I don't want to affect your relationships because of me," Megan spoke for a while, then suddenly realized that besides Michael being moved, Lucas remained indifferent.
Megan's heart grew heavy. Could it be that Lucas had realized something?
"Alright, Michael, the launch is about to start," Lucas reminded.
Soon, Laura, the formulator, came down from upstairs.
She wore a vintage red mermaid off-shoulder gown, with her entire shoulder exposed. Her cool white skin was like snow, and a diamond necklace hung on her beautiful collarbone. Paired with her deep, mixed-race-like features, she was simply mesmerizing.
"Is this the new director of the R D department at the Ocean Blue group? She's so stunning," someone said in surprise.
"Indeed, both in red dresses, Laura completely outshines Megan," another person added.
"Be careful, Megan is Michael's fiancée after all. Megan has a different aura; her involvement is mostly symbolic, while Laura is both beautiful and capable," a third person said.
"I heard the Ocean Blue group directly gave her shares to invite Laura to join. Laura is now a shareholder of the Ocean Blue group," someone else said again.
"I wonder if she has a boyfriend. I'd love to know her," that guy remarked.
Hearing the waves of discussions, Megan felt particularly frustrated. She had spent an entire day preparing for her look tonight.
