After she left, Sophia slipped a card into Oliver's hand, "This is Joseph's, you can use it however you like, I have one too, given to me by Walter."
"I don't want it." Oliver threw it back, reminding, "Sophia, you wouldn't want Joseph to get back together with Cassie, would you?"
Sophia's eyes flickered guiltily, "Actually, Joseph looks even better in person than in photos. We should present him to others more favorably."
Oliver was speechless, she knew her sister was unreliable, "But don't forget, he's going to marry another woman, he's a bad person, if it weren't for Cassie protecting us back then, maybe we wouldn't even be in this world."
Sophia fell silent all of a sudden.
"Also, you forgot how good Uncle Liam has been to us." Oliver reminded angrily, "He's been silently waiting for Cassie."
"Fine, I won't set her up with Joseph."
Sophia lowered her head.
At school, the teacher's key lesson for the day was about personal boundaries: "I won't let you touch me."
The teacher said seriously, "Cutie if strangers want to touch your face, bottom, or chest, you must not let them touch you. And never take off your pants or clothes in front of strangers. Our bodies are private and should not be seen by others."
After listening, Sophia furrowed her brows, which looked like two little caterpillars, and finally raised her hand to ask, "Miss, what if someone sees us naked?"
"If it's a stranger, we can call the police." The teacher said very seriously.
"What if it's not a stranger?" Sophia pondered anxiously, "What if Uncle sees Auntie's body?"
The teacher hesitated and reluctantly said, "He would have to take responsibility. If a boy sees a girl, he must take responsibility for her and marry her. Otherwise, it's considered rogue behavior."
Sophia seemed to get the point of it. No wonder Mom was fuming last night; Joseph had been acting like a scoundrel.
So after class, Sophia asked the teacher for a phone and called Joseph, "Joseph, I'm at school."
"Okay, are you getting used to school?" Joseph asked softly.
"I really like it. Today, the teacher taught me a lesson: If a boy sees a girl's body, he has to take responsibility for her and marry her." Sophia said very seriously, "You saw Cassie's body last night."
Joseph: "Speechless"
"Don't think I don't know; Cassie told me everything last night; the teacher said you have to take responsibility for the girl. Otherwise, you're being a rogue." After saying that, Sophia hung up.
In the office, Joseph's handsome face was filled with shame.
He never expected to be lectured by a child.
He fiddled with his phone, scenes from last night flashing through his mind, feeling a bit uneasy, wanting to hear the voice of that woman, Cassie.
After hesitating for a moment, he found Cassie's number and dialed it.
"Joseph, what's up?" The woman's serious voice came through.
He was a bit unhappy, "What medicine did you give me this morning? I feel better."
"Just regular cold medicine."
"Okay."
"Bye."
"Wait." Joseph quickly stopped her, "What brand was it?"
"I don't remember. You can buy it at any pharmacy," Cassie hung up directly.
Joseph frowned and dialed again.
"Joseph, what do you want now?" Cassie was really annoyed by him. Why was it so hard to take a nap?
