Chapter 1209 Seeing Olivia Again
In front of everyone, Laura felt a bit awkward being so close to Michael, but she knew he was putting on a show and didn't want to push him away.
"Mr. Jude, you really spoil Mrs. Jude," Cathy said with a smile. "Mrs. Jude is truly lucky."
Laura just smiled.
Most people knew about Michael and Megan's past, but they still spoke kindly.
"By the way, I saw Mr. Morris's car downstairs. Since I'm rarely here, I should say hello. Where is he?" Michael lied; he hadn't seen the car and was just making conversation.
Cathy laughed. "Mr. Morris has some friends over and is greeting them."
"Great, maybe I know some of his friends too," Michael said, smiling.
Cassie whispered, "We shouldn't disturb them."
"Yeah," Laura whispered back, "I just wanted to take a look."
"You don't get it. It's about politeness," Michael said. "Do you know who Mr. Morris is? He's the president's grandson."
Laura looked surprised. "Then we definitely need to say hello."
Cathy thought for a moment and nodded. "He's on the second floor. I'll take you."
She led the way.
Behind her, Michael leaned into Laura's ear and whispered, "We were quite in sync just now, weren't we?"
His hand was around her waist, and his words tickled her ear.
Laura felt a mix of numbness and itchiness, wanting to break free, but Michael held her tightly. "Don't move. If we don't act loving, people will get suspicious."
Laura glared at him secretly.
She couldn't understand why coming to a club had turned into an undercover operation, pretending to be in love.
Soon, Cathy led them to a private room and knocked gently.
After a while, a man who looked like a bodyguard opened the door. "Who are you looking for?"
"We're looking for Mr. Morris. I'm his friend," Michael said, pushing past the bodyguard and greeting Dale, who was sitting on the sofa. "Mr. Morris, long time no see."
Seeing that Michael knew Dale, the bodyguard relaxed.
Cassie and Laura also took the opportunity to enter. The room was large, but only four people were inside.
Besides Dale, Cassie recognized the other three— Sarah, Isla, and Olivia.
Today, Olivia was wearing a red dress, looking much more beautiful than three years ago. Her face looked similar to before, but upon closer inspection, it was clear she had undergone plastic surgery. Although she was beautiful, her face looked stiff, unlike the natural look of Sarah beside her.
Olivia also looked over, her expression changing slightly.
But she quickly smiled, her red lips curling up.
She hadn't expected Cassie to find her so quickly. Although she was a bit surprised, it didn't affect her much.
Sarah and Isla, on the other hand, were clearly shocked by Laura and Cassie's arrival.
"Mr. Jude, what brings you to Skyline Club today?" Dale said with a smile, patting Michael's shoulder as if they were good friends.
"Mr. Jude and Mrs. Jude must be here to see me," Olivia said, holding a wine glass and giving Cassie a knowing toast. "How did you know I was here?"
Dale's face stiffened, looking at Michael in confusion. "Mr. Jude?"
"Mr. Morris, your friend seems to know my wife," Michael said, feigning surprise.
"Mr. Jude, stop pretending. Not only do we know each other, but we have quite a history," Olivia said bluntly. "Cassie, did you get the letter I sent you?"
"I got it. I didn't expect you to be so malicious that you'd even desecrate your aunt's grave," Cassie said, stepping closer with a smile. "You've been out for four years, and all you've gained is malice, not intelligence."
Dale's expression darkened. "Watch your mouth."
Cassie frowned, and Michael quickly said, "Mr. Morris, what's going on? Is she your girlfriend?"
"I wish she were my girlfriend," Dale said with a forced smile. "So show some respect."
Hearing this, Olivia smiled smugly, and Isla laughed. "Cassie, did you really think Olivia would still let you bully her like before? Mr. Morris, if you really want to pursue Olivia, you should punish Ms. Brooks tonight. If it weren't for her, Olivia wouldn't have had to hide abroad back then."
Olivia stayed silent, but her silence agreed with Isla's words.
Dale smiled. "That's easy." Then his voice turned cold. "Guards."
"Mr. Morris." Several bodyguards entered.
Dale nodded towards Cassie. "Take good care of Ms. Brooks."
"Mr. Morris, what are you trying to do?" Michael immediately stood in front of Cassie, his face turning cold. "I remind you, she's Joseph's woman."
"Joseph?" Dale laughed disdainfully. "The Hernandez family is about to disappear from Madison. Do you think I care about him?"
"Do you believe that before the Hernandez family disappears, I can make you disappear first?" Cassie said calmly, her eyes sharp as knives.
Laura gasped.
Cassie was really fearless, daring to say such things to Dale.
Even Michael wanted to give her a thumbs up.
"What did you say?" Dale laughed, but his laughter was filled with menace.
Cassie glanced at Olivia, who was watching the drama unfold. "I don't understand why you, the president's grandson, would flatter a woman who's had plastic surgery, but it must have something to do with the people behind her. I bet they're not from Madison. But you need to understand we are in Madison. The Hernandez Group is under investigation but hasn't fallen, nor has it been reported for any crimes. As long as Joseph stands, he can deal with you. If you want to deal with me, take your time. Don't rush. Otherwise, she might be happy, but you'll end up losing yourself."
Dale, who was used to being flattered, had never been challenged like this.
His face twitched with anger.
He wanted to kill her on the spot, but Cassie's words indeed threatened him.
