Lucas gave a cold smile.
Sarah's actions were indeed particularly off-putting.
In the evening, after working overtime, Lucas unknowingly drove to the Zenith Group.
The light in the CEO's office was still on.
He stared at it for two seconds, then pushed open the car door and got out.
This was his first time at the Zenith Group.
When he went in, the security guard at the door stopped him, "The company is closed for the day. Do you have any business here?"
"I'm the boyfriend of your new boss. She's still working, and I'm here to pick her up." Lucas tossed a pack of cigarettes over.
This made the security guard smile instantly, "Oh, I see. Please come in."
As the security guard spoke, he sized up Lucas's appearance. His suit looked very expensive, and the watch on his wrist must have cost at least a few million dollars. Looking at his face, even TV stars couldn't compare.
The security guard thought about the appearance of his new boss and realized that only a man like this could be a match for her.
Lucas strode in with his long legs.
In the CEO's office, the curtains were drawn, and the door was closed.
He knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" Nina's cautious voice came from inside.
Hadn't everyone in the company already left?
"It's me."
Lucas pushed open the door. Nina was sitting in her office chair, her cold face adorned with a pair of non-prescription glasses, and her computer was on with two piles of thick documents on either side of her desk.
He was used to seeing her with a movie star's aura, so seeing her in a business suit as an elite white-collar worker suddenly made Lucas feel a bit uncomfortable and strange.
"What are you doing here?" Nina's eyes turned cold.
"You're quite dedicated."
Lucas ignored the coldness in her eyes, walked over, and glanced at the documents, "These are the Zenith Group's sales data from previous years, right? Do you understand them?"
He admitted that Bernice was very capable now, but even if she was Reborn, her expertise was only in finance.
And the Zenith Group specialized in sports equipment.
Running a company was different from dealing with the stock market, funds, and finance.
Moreover, the Zenith Group had long been delisted.
"Do you need my advice?"
Lucas casually picked up a document. It was the company's data from the past two years.
On the cover, Nina had noted some data flaws and opinions, each comment sharp and insightful.
Lucas was stunned. First, he found the handwriting somewhat familiar. Second, her keen business acumen surprised him.
"Did you write this?"
Lucas's gaze fell on her right hand holding the pen. She must have written a lot; her hand was still stained with ink.
Nina frowned, snatched the document away, and said coldly, "Mr. Nelson, this is confidential information of the Zenith Group. If you look at it without permission, I will suspect you of trying to steal our company data with ulterior motives."
Lucas chuckled softly, bent down, and brought his thin lips close to her ear, "The Zenith Group is already on its last legs. Do you think I would care about a broken and small company like this?"
Lucas's breath brushed against Nina's earlobe, as if deliberately using his breath to assert his presence.
Nina warily moved aside, "Lucas, if you want to have sex, go find another woman. Don't bother me."
"I just like bothering you. What are you going to do about it?" Lucas turned around, letting his body lean lightly against the desk, "Other women aren't as interesting as you. Because of you, I'm not interested in other women anymore. What do you say to that?"
