Chapter 1208 So What If I'm Jealous

"Me, jealous?" Michael snapped. "So what if I am? You're my wife."

Laura was taken aback. She expected Michael to deny it, but instead, she blushed, feeling embarrassed.

Michael felt humiliated too, but seeing her go silent and blush, he quickly forgot his shame. "Anyway, remember what I said. If this happens again, I'll tell Benjamin you're using him."

Laura's chest heaved with anger. "I can't deal with you. Move aside, I'm calling Cassie."

"No way. Who knows if you'll contact Benjamin the moment I turn my back?" Michael dragged a chair over and sat down.

He thought about overhearing her gentle phone call with Benjamin earlier.

But Laura always yelled or cursed at him.

Why the difference in treatment?

"Do whatever you want." Laura was fed up and called Cassie. "Benjamin called earlier. Isla went to the Skyline Club tonight, and not long after, Olivia and Sarah showed up together."

"It really is Olivia," Cassie sighed. She had hoped she was wrong. "Sarah went too?"

"What's so strange about that? Back in Silverwood, Olivia was close to Sarah," Laura scoffed. "Olivia must know Sarah is marrying Lucas. She'd definitely want to pull her into her circle. Sarah is really restless."

"These three all have grudges against us. If they pull in Megan..." Cassie felt helpless.

"What are you planning to do? Should we go to the Skyline Club now and confront Olivia?" Laura said offhandedly.

"Okay."

"What?" Laura was stunned. "I was joking."

"I don't want to, but last time I had people follow Robert and Helen, Spencer and Peter got hurt. If I send someone to follow her this time and something happens again, I don't want to waste Dragon's resources. I'd rather go meet Olivia myself and see how confident she really is," Cassie said. "Hurry up and eat. We'll go together later."

"Alright." Laura quickly nodded.

"Explain to Michael. I didn't want you involved because you're pregnant, but I'm worried if I don't take you, I might not get out smoothly," Cassie explained.

"I understand." Laura ended the call and looked at Michael.

Michael roughly understood and looked displeased. "Are you going to the Skyline Club with that big belly?"

"I'm the future president's goddaughter. No one would dare do anything to me," Laura explained with a frown. "I have to go tonight."

"Come on! This is Cassie's business. Why do you have to get involved?" Michael complained.

"Joseph is your friend, right? Olivia wants to go after him too. Do you want to watch your friend suffer?" Laura retorted.

Michael was at a loss for words.

As Laura went inside to eat, he reluctantly said, "You can go, but I'm coming with you."

Laura glanced at him and finally nodded.

Forty minutes later, Cassie pulled up to the Jude Villa.

As they got in the car, Michael frowned. "Why are you alone? Isn't Joseph coming?"

"The investigation bureau went to the Hernandez Group again. He's too busy. I didn't tell him to avoid worrying him," Cassie explained.

"If you don't tell him and something happens, he'll be even more worried," Michael said irritably.

"Aren't you two here?" Cassie smiled. "No matter how arrogant Olivia is, I don't think she'd dare hurt anyone from the Jude family. Besides, Olivia wants to torment me slowly, make me lose everything, and then push me into the abyss. If she dealt with me all at once, it wouldn't be as satisfying."

Michael gave her a complicated look. Cassie was becoming more like Joseph, increasingly inscrutable and adept at reading people.

After arriving at the Skyline Club, Michael handed over his membership card and went through multiple security checks before taking the elevator upstairs.

"This is my first time here. It's so strict," Laura remarked to Michael. "You also run a club, but it doesn't seem nearly as stringent."

Michael said with a complex expression, "Because the owner behind this club is no ordinary person."

"Who is it?" Cassie asked, puzzled.

"It's Dale Morris, the grandson of the current president, Stanley Morris," Michael said. "He's two years younger than me but very capable. He originally wanted to run for president with Carl, but he was too young. After Carl steps down, he and Derek might be the fierce contenders for the next presidency."

Laura was stunned, feeling that these matters were very complicated.

Michael said calmly, "The Jude family has the powerful Jude Group as its backing. Dale is slightly inferior, but he's secretly trying to win over various elite families. This club is where he entertains those top-tier families, so we don't come here often."

"But Olivia and Sarah both came here," Cassie suddenly said. "Could it be that Olivia has connected with Dale?"

Michael frowned and shook his head. "Dale is very shrewd. He wouldn't associate with useless people, nor would he do something impulsive for a woman. Besides, he once tried to befriend Joseph. Although Joseph was lukewarm, Dale wouldn't be foolish enough to go against Joseph."

Cassie was unconvinced. "What if Dale is interested in the power behind Olivia?"

Michael was momentarily speechless.

When the elevator arrived, they stepped out.

It was the highest floor in Whisperlyn City. Cassie seemed to understand why it was called the Skyline Club. Standing here felt like being in the clouds, and every piece of decor was worth millions of dollars.

"Mr. Jude, what brings you here today?"

Cathy Graham walked over, glancing at Laura and Cassie with a smile and looking a bit surprised. "You even brought Mrs. Jude and Ms. Brooks."

Cassie was secretly impressed. 'Cathy is sharp, recognizing us all at once.'

Michael wrapped his arm around Laura's waist and smiled. "We were just passing by. My wife has never been to the Skyline Club and wanted to come with her friend, so I brought them."
