Chapter 30 The Vast Eye

"This is my blueprint. See if anything needs changing," Cassie said, handing over her notebook and revealing the model she had painstakingly created.

Joseph looked at it and felt as if a mysterious dark blue hue swept across his vision, like traveling through a time tunnel surrounded by brilliant nebulae.

Cassie explained, "This is my design, 'The Vast Eye.' See how these endless nebulae look like countless eyes? The universe is the key focus for our future exploration."

Joseph listened to her detailed explanation. On the surface, he remained calm, but inside, he was quite surprised. 'This kind of creative curiosity is perfect for the tech pavilion's decor. I underestimated her. She's better than any of the top designers I've worked with before. She has real talent.'

"What do you think?" Cassie finished her explanation and looked at him intently.

"Not bad," Joseph said, pretending not to notice, offering only a few words.

Cassie pouted, thinking, 'What does he mean by "not bad"? It's clearly excellent.'

"So, do you think I can win this?" she asked.

"Don't get too cocky. There's always someone better out there," Joseph said, dampening her enthusiasm.

Cassie felt frustrated.

"I know I can," she nodded and turned away, not noticing the faint smile in Joseph's eyes.

The next day, Cassie took her blueprint to show Freddie, who immediately decided to go with her design.

Matthew's face turned red with anger, and he lowered his head to hide his twisted expression.

On the day of the bid, Cassie headed to the architecture institute.

As she parked her car, she saw Olivia leading her team out of a business van.

She felt a pang of discomfort. Those people used to work for her, but now they looked at her with disdain and schadenfreude.

Later, she found out that Olivia was the designer representing Height Architectural Decoration Company. Cassie was speechless, thinking, 'How much does Robert indulge Olivia to give her this project? Olivia, who has only been studying design for less than half a year, can't have the skills.'

"I am the designer representing Height Architectural Decoration Company. I designed it all myself," Olivia claimed, looking at Cassie with a meaningful smile. Cassie instinctively felt something was off, thinking Olivia must have hired someone to help.

Cassie couldn't be bothered to argue and turned to leave.

She would go crazy dealing with Olivia, who was so two-faced. If Olivia was so good at acting, she should be in the entertainment industry, not design.

Upstairs, she met up with Freddie and the others.

Freddie had already drawn lots. "Our bidding order is right after Height Architectural Decoration Company."

Cassie frowned, thinking, 'What a coincidence.' However, she didn't dwell on it, fully confident in her abilities.

Soon, the bidding began.

The designs from the first few decoration companies were good, but Cassie noticed that the host, Felix Reed, only nodded without much excitement.

Soon, Olivia, representing Height Architectural Decoration Company, took the stage. She wore a sharp yet soft brown suit and was the youngest designer to present so far.

Initially, the audience showed a hint of disdain, but when her work was displayed, everyone was stunned.

Cassie stood up in shock, thinking, 'Isn't this the work I spent half a month creating? How did it end up in Olivia's hands?'
