Chapter 1784 Bernice is Back
Milan noticed the slight change in Nina's expression and quickly said, "She's not my girlfriend, she's someone very important to me."
Nina remained silent.
"Alright, Milan, you go ahead and do your thing." Reid, who had been in relationships before, figured Milan was probably still pursuing Bernice.
"Get lost already." Nina almost kicked Milan.
"Alright, I'm leaving right now." Milan turned around with a smile and got into the Jeep.
Nina stood by the mountainside, watching the car leave a trail of dust on the S-shaped road.
Her pupils were filled with confusion.
In the dream, Bernice said she had her persistence when she left.
Persistence.
It turned out there were some things she had never let go of.
Back at the dilapidated mansion, Nina received a call from Gabriella, "Bernice, good news, the tourism bureau wants you to be their spokesperson. This kind of endorsement is at the national level. The fee isn't high, but it's very significant. Should I accept it for you?"
"No need," Nina directly refused, "I won't participate in any activities in the entertainment industry."
"Before, you couldn't participate, but now everyone is begging you to come back," Gabriella said regretfully. "You could invest in Stellar Entertainment Group as a major shareholder and take on some ads to make some money and expand your network. Many veteran actors do this."
"No need, I plan to come back and start a company," Nina said.
"Start a company?" Gabriella was dumbfounded, "But you have no experience being a boss. Starting a company isn't that easy."
"It's okay, during this time, have Mr. Myles help me look into the Zenith Group," Bernice instructed.
Gabriella quickly conveyed Bernice's words to Lyndon, "Mr. Myles, why don't you try to persuade Bernice? I know she has money, but making money isn't easy. She's too young, she's only 24 this year."
"24?" Lyndon was taken aback and then suddenly smiled bitterly. He had been dealing with Bernice for so long that he had forgotten her real age.
"Yes, 24," Gabriella nodded, "She's too young, and others might not take her seriously."
"Do you think someone who managed to put the cunning Lucas in jail has the mental age of an immature person?" Lyndon retorted.
Gabriella was stunned, "But..."
"Bernice is not as simple as you think," Lyndon glanced at her indifferently, "You're 22, how much savings do you have, and how much does she have? Don't use your standards to measure Bernice. Just follow her well; it's your honor to be with her."
"I know that," Gabriella nodded sheepishly. If it weren't for Bernice, someone like Lyndon wouldn't even bother with her.
"Tell her I'll gather information on the Zenith Group as soon as possible."
Lyndon was a bit puzzled as to why Bernice was interested in the Zenith Group.
The Zenith Group had been in decline ever since Nina's death and was eventually sold off cheaply by Nathan.

In a remote area, Nina received a mysterious call from Whisperlyn City.
"Reborn, the arrangements you asked for are in place."
"Did it alert the other party?" Nina asked coldly.
"No, the Nelson Group is currently plagued with negative news. Relevant authorities have been scrutinizing the Nelson Group and have fined them over a billion dollars. Yancy is overwhelmed, and Lucas is being closely watched in prison. He can't even use a phone or watch TV, and no one is allowed to visit him. Lucas has no way of getting first-hand information about the company."
"Good, I'll be back in a month."
Nina ended the call.
Whisperlyn City Airport.
When the plane landed, Nina, accompanied by three bodyguards, exited through the VIP channel.
Outside, a swarm of reporters saw her, the best actress, and immediately surrounded her. "Bernice, you're finally back. We heard that you built over ten schools and twenty hospitals over there, and also funded road construction. You must have been very busy."

Many people knew that Bernice was back.
So everyone recalled that Lucas was also about to be released from prison.
In a restaurant.
Laura ordered a lot of dishes and asked the waiter to bring two bottles of good wine, "To celebrate Bernice's return, this meal is on me. Eat as much as you want, don't hold back."
"Don't fight with me," Cassie quickly said, "Bernice, you're finally back. Laura and I have been so bored these past two months without you."
"Laura has a boyfriend, and Cassie has a husband and kids." Hearing her friends' voices, Nina laughed.
"I'm tired of seeing my boyfriend every day," Laura said with a grin, "So, I heard Milan chased after you for a month. Any progress?"
"I'm not thinking about dating right now," Nina changed the subject, "Lucas is about to be released, right?"
"Yes, I suddenly realized three months went by too fast. He should have been sentenced to three years," Laura said unhappily.
"These three months have probably been the longest in Lucas's life." Cassie suddenly gave Nina a meaningful look. "When Lucas first went to prison, Joseph visited him once. But then there was a riot in the prison two months ago, and no one has been allowed to visit since."
Nina's eyes flickered, and Laura nodded, "I think I heard Derek mention it once."
"You might not know, but recently, the Nelson Group was shorted," Cassie said with a hint of amusement, "The entire Nelson Group lost nine hundred billion dollars, and the person responsible got away clean. Lucas probably doesn't even know about this in prison."
