Chapter 1312 Tell me, how can I please you?

"Isabella, the folks you hired are a joke." Joseph shook his head, spun around, and strutted off.

As he left, he heard Isabella losing it inside, "You useless idiots! All that money on training you, down the drain. Go to hell, all of you!"

Joseph frowned.

Nathaniel chimed in, "Man, Isabella's losing it. She needs help."

"Yeah, and she's dumb as a rock. The Robert Group? If she had any brains, she'd be bawling over the mess she's made."

Joseph walked into the office, and not long after, Lars showed up with security to kick him out. "Mr. Hernandez, we know we can't take you on. But you're fired. No one's gonna care if you stick around. Might as well leave now."

"Don't worry, I'm outta here." Joseph said coldly, and had Nathaniel pack their stuff to leave together.

Lars watched him leave through the main entrance, then called David, "Mr. Foster, Joseph's out."

"Good." David's voice was dripping with glee.

He'd been waiting for this day. Once Robert became chairman, he could pull the strings at Hernandez Group with the dirt he had on Robert.

In the car.

Joseph checked the time; it was only 10 a.m.

He hadn't expected to get the boot so soon.

He looked outside and saw a mall. "Drive over there, I wanna grab some toys for Oliver and Sophia."

"Sure thing."

He didn't know which floor had toys, so he took the elevator up. Suddenly, he spotted a super chic women's clothing store nearby, especially a dress in the window. He thought Cassie would look amazing in it.

He walked over and was about to speak when a young woman's voice piped up behind him.

"Clerk, get me that dress."

He turned around. The woman behind him was decked out in high-end custom clothes, looking to be in her twenties.

The woman saw Joseph and suddenly smiled, "Hey there, Mr. Hernandez."

She paused and said, "Oh, the Hernandez Group's about to get a new name."

Joseph's eyes went cold, "Who are you?"

The young woman was stunned for a moment, then realized, "Oh, right. I heard you got a bit dumb recently and forgot a lot of stuff. Let me reintroduce myself. I'm Marigold, and Ralph's my dad."

After she finished, she said proudly, "You looked down on me when I was chasing you. Now, the Hernandez family is in trouble. What can Cassie do to help you?"

Joseph pretended to be surprised and smiled gently, "Didn't expect to see you, Ms. Dixon."

Marigold was dazed for a few seconds by his charming smile. She felt very proud when she snapped back to reality.

Joseph had looked down on her before. But now, since her status had changed, Joseph's attitude towards her had too.

She knew that Joseph was now amnesiac and down on his luck, so it was normal for him to try to butter her up.

If it were anyone else, she might not care. But Joseph was different. His short hair made his rugged features even more striking.

Even though he wasn't in her league anymore, she didn't mind having him around. Women, just like men, always want what they can't have.

"You've really changed. You used to be so cold to me," Marigold said, playing it up.

"I wasn't too bright back then," Joseph said, glancing at the dress in the window. "If you like it, I'll buy it for you."

"Aren't you worried Cassie will find out?" Marigold asked.

"We ended a long time ago," Joseph replied.

"Forget it, I don't want the dress anymore," Marigold suddenly said. "Sometimes you like something at first, but then you realize it's not good enough for you."

"Alright, I won't bother you," Joseph said, turning around without hesitation.

Marigold watched his tall figure walk away, biting her lip in frustration. "Joseph, you got kicked out of the company after just three days. Everyone in Whisperlyn City knows. You're a joke now."

"So what?" Joseph turned slightly, his handsome face still cold.

"If you please me, no one will dare to look down on you," Marigold said proudly.

"Interesting!" Joseph walked towards her, a charming smile on his face.

Marigold's heart raced as he cornered her between the shop windows, one hand braced against the glass, looking down at her.

"So, tell me, how should I please you?" Joseph gently lifted her chin.

Her heart pounded wildly as she looked into his eyes.

Marigold thought, 'Who said he became a fool? Could a fool be this seductive?'

She realized Joseph was far superior to the suitors around her.

"Then have dinner with me."

"Okay," Joseph said.

At the Hernandez House.

Cassie drove in, and Rosalind came out. "Ms. Brooks, you're back."

"Yes."

Cassie glanced at the parking lot. When she was at the Chapman family's villa, she got a call from Laura, saying Joseph had been kicked out of the Hernandez Group this morning, and the Hernandez Group was going to be renamed the Robert Group.

She hesitated for a while but worried that Joseph would be upset, so she came over.

"Mr. Hernandez went to the company," Rosalind said, noticing her concern. "He's been very busy lately, didn't come back until ten last night."

Cassie frowned. Joseph had told her not to worry about the Hernandez Group, so she had no idea what he was busy with.

But after this, Joseph probably wouldn't need to go to work anymore.

"Rosalind, make some of his favorite dishes later," Cassie said after a moment of hesitation.

"Ms. Brooks, you still care about Mr. Hernandez. I really don't understand you young people. One day you're fine, the next you're fighting. Oh well, I'll go prepare the meal."

Noticing Cassie's awkward expression, Rosalind held back her words and went to work.
