""Good! Since you understand, I won't beat around the bush."" Ava raised her chin, looking superior. ""You better stay away from Joseph. He's not someone you can mess with.""
""What if I don't stay away?"" Cassie asked playfully. ""You like him, but he only sees you as a little sister.""
Ava remained unfazed. ""So what? Joseph's family believes in matching status and background. I'll tell you the truth, you really don't understand him. His family won't accept you. You're not worthy. He's just playing with you. In that kind of family, you'll be swallowed alive!""
She sneered mockingly and left with her head held high.
