Chapter 1020 I Am Cameron Sanchez

On the way to pick up Joseph, Nathaniel thought for a moment and decided to call Cassie. She didn't answer, probably because she was in a meeting.

Afterward, he picked up Joseph and headed to the Royal Crest National Hotel, where the chairman of the Garrison Group was staying. Nathaniel had already contacted his assistant.

As soon as they entered the hotel, Joseph saw Felix coming out with his assistant. Felix looked annoyed, but when he saw Joseph, he sneered.

"You are here to see Mr. Garrison too?" Felix looked him up and down with disdain. "Anyone thinks they can just waltz in here, huh?"

Nathaniel, furious, stepped forward, but Joseph stopped him and said calmly, "Felix, watch yourself. You won't always have someone to cover for you."

Felix's eyes darkened, and he sneered. "Joseph, you got lucky last time. Sooner or later, you'll regret it."

Joseph's expression didn't change. He looked at Felix with a superior gaze, as if he wasn't worth his time. "Felix, I'll deal with you eventually."

"You're dreaming. You think teaming up with the Garrison Group will bring the Hernandez family back? Mr. Garrison won't see you. Don't waste your time."

Felix then waved to the lobby manager.

"Mr. Chamberlain, how can I help you?" The manager rushed over, eager to please.

"This guy wants to go to the presidential suite to bother your important guest. Keep an eye on him," Felix said with a smirk.

Nathaniel snapped, "We have an appointment."

"You have an appointment?" Felix laughed mockingly. "Big families in Madison have tried to see Mr. Garrison and got turned away. Who'd believe you have an appointment?"

The manager frowned. "Please don't disturb our guests. Leave now."

"Did you hear that? Leave." Felix started to shoo them away. "Sir, I think they don't want to go. Better call security."

Nathaniel was fuming, and Joseph's good mood was ruined. He glanced around, his sharp suit and cold demeanor making the manager shiver.

Just then, Patrick came out of the elevator. Seeing Joseph and the others, he smiled and said, "Mr. Hernandez, why aren't you upstairs yet? Mr. Garrison is waiting for you."

Joseph was surprised to see Patrick. "It's you."

This was the guy he had hit with his car while driving with Sophia last time. It seemed the man in the passenger seat was Mr. Garrison.

"Yeah, it's me." Patrick smiled and glanced at Felix and the others.

Felix recognized him too. When he tried to visit earlier, Patrick had blocked him. His face turned sour. "Why did you say Mr. Garrison wasn't there when I visited? Does he not know who Joseph is? The Hernandez family isn't what it used to be. The Chamberlain family is top in Madison."

Patrick glanced at him indifferently and smiled. "Mr. Chamberlain, you've come many times, and Mr. Garrison has refused to see you. Don't you get it?"

"You're taking yourself too seriously," Joseph said, looking at Felix with disdain.

Felix's eyes burned with anger. "Fine, you'll regret this later."

He then stormed off.

The manager, caught in the middle, looked embarrassed. "I'm sorry."

"If you listen to Felix so much, you shouldn't be a manager here. Go apply to the Chamberlain family," Nathaniel sneered. "I'll report this to your superiors."

He then followed Joseph upstairs.

At the door of the presidential suite, Patrick stopped Nathaniel. "Sorry, Mr. Garrison only wants to see Mr. Hernandez."

"Wait here," Joseph said, his eyes flashing with suspicion before he walked in.

On the black leather sofa sat a burly man in a dark blue robe. He looked about forty, with a ruggedly handsome face marred by a scar, making one side look fierce and the other deep and handsome.

At this moment, he was holding a cigarette, his eyes looking at Joseph through the smoke.

It was the first time Joseph clearly saw Cameron Lewis, and he felt a strange familiarity but couldn't recall why.

"Have we met?" Joseph asked tentatively.

Cameron chuckled, extinguishing the cigarette in the ashtray, and said in a hoarse voice, "Yes, we have. I am Cameron Sanchez. Do you remember?"

Joseph almost forgot Cameron and forgot that without Cameron, he wouldn't be here.

In his childhood, he had prayed for Cameron to return, but he waited and waited until he despaired and had to rely on himself to get through.

Joseph looked at Cameron, outwardly calm, but inside, a storm was raging. After a long while, he finally said, "Why did you come back? I already considered you dead."

Cameron's eyes flashed with deep guilt. "Joseph, I'm sorry."

"You don't need to apologize. I don't have a dad," Joseph interrupted him forcefully, glaring with fierce eyes. "My dad died when I was a child."

He turned and walked towards the door.

He didn't want to stay with Cameron for even a moment.

For Joseph, too much had happened today. He suddenly had twins, and even his dad, who had been missing for over twenty years, had returned. He was also the Mr. Garrison of the Garrison Group.

He just wanted to be alone and calm down.

"Joseph, I had to leave back then. If I hadn't, you would have lost your life," Cameron suddenly said sorrowfully behind him.

Joseph stopped in his tracks and turned back, looking at Cameron in confusion.

Cameron sighed lightly, walked over, and gently patted his shoulder. "Back then, Marcus threatened me. If I didn't disappear, he would kill you. The nanny who took care of you was his person."

Joseph was shocked. "Are you talking about Camila?"

"Yes." Cameron nodded. "I thought about taking you with me, but the Hernandez family was too powerful back then. I had no power to fight them. I planned to go abroad to build my own power and then find a way to contact you. But soon after I left, Marcus's people started hunting me down."
