Chapter 966 Gave Joseph A Good Time

Cassie quickly understood. "You mean the people from Dragon dumped Liam there, and then another car came and picked him up."

Spencer nodded. "Someone must have been watching at the Dragon's entrance, or someone inside Dragon leaked the information."

Cassie was shocked. But after thinking it over, Cassie agreed with Spencer.

"I've never really believed that Liam would leak the Hernandez family data. He was a decent man. I suspect there might be a mole in Dragon, the same person who leaked the data. Moreover, Dragon has always been the organization Joseph trusts the most. When the chip was developed, Joseph would definitely have had key Dragon personnel guarding the lab. It's not impossible that someone stole the data and framed Liam at the right moment," Cassie remarked.

After Cassie finished speaking, Spencer looked at her appreciatively. "Cassie, it's a pity you're not a cop."

"It's just my guess." Cassie glanced at Spencer. "But to pull all this off, it would have to be someone close to Joseph. Joseph probably wouldn't suspect them. Anyway, if it weren't for Liam, I wouldn't be interested in this at all."

"Yeah, if we want to find the mole, we have to get into Dragon. With your current status, David would definitely be uncomfortable with that," Spencer said. "Let's leave this to the Hernandez family and the Chamberlain family."

Upon thinking about David, Cassie frowned. "If you saw a video of your wife with another man having sex on your wedding night, what would you do?"

After saying that, Cassie saw Spencer's strange expression and quickly blushed, glaring at him. "Yes, that wife is me."

"Cassie, you're quite something." Spencer chuckled. "If it were me, I'd definitely be furious and want to kill that man."

"Would you hate your wife?" Cassie asked.

"That depends on the video. If she were resisting, I'd feel heartbroken and guilty. But if she seemed to be enjoying it, I might hate her and think she's hypocritical. Like..." Spencer remarked.

"Like what?" Cassie asked nervously.

"Well, like a slut," Spencer said awkwardly but honestly. "Anyway, I'd definitely teach her a lesson."

Cassie felt a chill all over. "Well, Spencer, could you do me a favor and check on David? Be careful. Don't alert anyone."

"Why?" Spencer looked shocked.

"Go." Cassie gave Spencer a look.

Joseph stayed in the hospital for five days. When he got out, he found out that the Hernandez House had been sold. Now, Mabel was living with Walter and Mildred in a villa owned by the Hernandez family.

Although it couldn't compare to the Hernandez House, the community had good property management, and the yard was clean.

When Joseph arrived, Mildred was accompanying Walter, sunbathing on the lawn.

"Grandpa, are you feeling better?" Joseph walked over, looking at Walter with guilt.

Walter sighed deeply. "It's just that my leg doesn't work anymore. I never thought that after living a glorious life, I'd witness the decline of the Hernandez family in my old age."

"Forget it. We're doing pretty well now," Mildred said optimistically. "We don't have to worry about money for living expenses. Apart from being looked down upon, we're still better off than most people."

Joseph didn't expect Mildred to become so optimistic so quickly. "Grandpa, I'm sorry. I'm the one to blame for the fall of the Hernandez family. I didn't manage it well."

"Yes, you are." Walter glared at Joseph. "If you hadn't taken Cassie abroad, the chip wouldn't have been stolen. But it's not all your fault. It's fate. You and your mom are very similar. Both of you are stubborn and don't know how to cherish what you have. Your dad was so good to Mabel back then, but Mabel didn't appreciate it and thought Marcus was deeply in love with her."

'Dad...' This word had long been unfamiliar to Joseph.

Joseph was lost in thought for a moment until he heard Mildred say, "Your dad hasn't been heard from in decades. He's probably married with kids abroad by now."

Just then, a black car drove in, and Mabel got out of the car. "What are you talking about?"

Mildred said bluntly, "We're talking about Cameron."

Mabel was stunned for a moment. Cameron had been out of her life for so long that she had almost forgotten him.

"If you had listened to us and been with Cameron, there wouldn't be so much trouble now," Walter said angrily. "You had the nerve to say Cameron was after the Hernandez family's money. You Fool."

Mabel was unhappy. "That's not necessarily true. Maybe Cameron and Marcus are the same kind of people. Mom, Dad, stop talking about this. Joseph, you're back just in time. I gathered that the chairman of the Garrison Group has come to Madison. If we can cooperate with the Garrison Group and temporarily introduce their advanced equipment, the Hernandez family might get through this tough time."

"The Garrison Group?" Joseph was stunned. He remembered that this company was a large enterprise that had risen in the past twenty years.

The Garrison Group was very low-key, and its behind-the-scenes controller was mysterious and didn't appear on the global rich lists. But no one dared to offend this company. It was said that the Garrison Group had offices in over a hundred countries.

"Joseph, come to the company tomorrow. Let's try to meet the chairman of the Garrison Group." Mabel sighed.

Joseph remained silent.

After dinner, Joseph left the villa.

Joseph's health was in bad shape now. He felt like he had lost all motivation. 'Even if I rose again, so what? I am no longer a complete person. For the rest of my life, I am destined to be alone, without a wife or children. The Hernandez family was counting on me, so I had no right to back down.'

Maybe Joseph was too depressing. He walked into a bar when he saw it.

Joseph ordered a lot of drinks and downed them one by one, as if only getting drunk could ease his heartbreak.

Nathan came out of a box on the second floor to use the restroom and saw Joseph drinking downstairs. His eyes lit up.

Joseph quickly called Megan, "Megan, guess who I ran into at the bar? Joseph. He's really down and out, wearing just a cheap T-shirt and drowning his sorrows."

"Joseph?" Megan smirked.

Megan had a love-hate relationship with Joseph. Unfortunately, Joseph didn't cherish Megan back then.

But now that Joseph was down and out, he wasn't a match for Megan anymore. However, Megan would never forget the humiliation she once felt. "Since you ran into him, find someone to give Joseph a good time."
