Chapter 1706 What's his relationship with Julia?
Elliott thought about how he treated Julia last night.
Elliott suddenly felt he had been quite harsh.
"Alright." Derek looked at his expression, feeling his goal had been achieved.
That's how it is between couples; some things said by Julia might not be believed by Elliott.
Because in Elliott's heart, Julia had already lost her trustworthiness.
But if Derek, an outsider, told the truth, Elliott might believe it more.
Of course, Derek could have said these things before, but that clearly wasn't the best time.
"By the way, do you know someone named Garth?"
Seeing Derek about to leave, Elliott remembered something.
"Garth?" Derek raised an eyebrow in slight surprise. "Yes, I know him."
Elliott opened his mouth, wanting to ask about the situation between Garth and Julia, but didn't know how to start.
Derek laughed, "Are you trying to ask what his relationship with Julia is?"
Elliott turned his face away in frustration.
Seeing Elliott keeping everything to himself, Derek's mouth twitched slightly in helplessness. So Julia likes this type, he thought. "I only know that Garth seems to be interested in Julia."
As expected.
Elliott's brows furrowed tightly.
Derek sighed inwardly, "The Tovar Manor is one of the shareholders of the Jude Group. When Julia rose to power, the Tovar Manor was the first to support her. But to be honest, Uriah is not a simple man. He probably thought the tide had turned and decided to be the first to pledge allegiance, hoping Julia would respect him more. Besides, Garth is indeed quite capable."
Elliott remained silent, but his expression had changed to one of deep contemplation.
Derek felt a bit troubled and continued talking to himself, "But no matter how much Garth likes Julia, she could never like him back, let alone be with him."
Hearing this, Elliott's deep eyes finally moved slightly, "Why?"
"Garth might like Julia, but he knows how much of that affection is mixed with self-interest," Derek smiled. "It's good for a person to be capable and smart, but the scariest thing is when they also have ambition. If he marries Julia, the Jude family might end up becoming the Tovar family. Julia isn't that foolish."
Elliott understood, "Then she's not afraid of me."
After saying that, he hesitated. He decided not to mention his marriage to Julia for now.
"Because she fully trusts your character." Derek patted his shoulder, "I'll send you the address on Facebook."
This time, Derek really left.
After Derek entered the villa, Elliott stood alone outside.
Laura came over, curiously asking, "What did Elliott want to talk to you about?"
"Elliott asked for Julia's address." Derek put his arm around her, not hiding anything.
"Why does Elliott need her address?" Laura's eyes widened. "Are they getting back together?"
Derek gave a wry smile. He wanted to say that the two were already married, and it was his idea, but since things were still unclear, he decided to keep quiet for now.
"First loves are always a regret in their hearts, something they can't forget. It's just that there are misunderstandings between them." He said ambiguously.
"Do you have any regrets about your first love?" Laura suddenly stared into his eyes.
Derek felt uneasy, "No, I told you everything a long time ago. But your first love seems to have left a deeper impression on you, didn't you pursue him actively?"
"I'm going to eat." Laura was scared, knowing she couldn't win the argument, and quickly slipped away.
Derek watched her retreating figure, feeling both amused and helpless.
Dinner took less than ten minutes. Elliott put down his utensils, "Mom, Dad, I have something to do, I need to go out."
Everyone was stunned. Rose's face turned ugly, "What's the matter? You go out every night. Are you hiding a girlfriend from me?"
Luke had wanted to ask about his work, but after hearing Rose's words, he remained silent, waiting for Elliott's response.
"Yeah, bro, do you have a girlfriend?" Laura asked gleefully.
"Yes, we're seeing each other."
Unexpectedly, Elliott suddenly spoke up.
Rose stood up abruptly, her face initially grim, now beaming with joy, "Come, tell me all about her. Where is she from, what does she do, how old is she, what is her family like, is she pretty, is her personality good?"
Laura calmly replied, "Mom, we're still getting to know each other."
Meaning, don't ask.
"Forgive you for sleeping outside these days, not sleeping with her?" Rose looked a bit disappointed.
The dining room fell silent, and Elliott's face rarely showed stiffness.
Laura was shocked by Rose's words.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Is your son that casual?" Luke glared at Rose, "They probably haven't known each other long, otherwise, why would Elliott have agreed to marry Isadora before?"
"Right, I was confused." Rose looked enlightened.
Elliott remained silent.
So, does he seem quite casual?
"Mom, I'm leaving." Elliott really couldn't stay any longer.
"Alright, alright, go accompany your girlfriend." Rose eagerly saw him to the door, "Bring her home when you have time."
Elliott almost fled in haste.
Rose was in a great mood, "I feel hopeful this time. It's rare for Elliott to be so enthusiastic about a date."
Laura nodded awkwardly.
She also felt hopeful for Elliott, but she seriously doubted Rose would go crazy when she met Elliott's girlfriend.
At eight o'clock in the evening.
Elliott stood at the door, his fingers nervously curling at his side before he finally pressed the doorbell.
The doorbell rang for a while, but no one answered.
Could she not be home?
Elliott felt uncertain and started knocking on the door forcefully.
He didn't know that Julia had already heard him. She stood behind the door, watching Elliott's figure on the screen.
She couldn't understand why he would come.
Could it be that he hadn't scolded her enough last night and came here to continue?
She really didn't want to argue with him. After being scolded by him, she had been lying down all day, still feeling unwell.
But Elliott at the door was relentless, and if he kept kicking, he would disturb the neighbors.
She rubbed her temples before finally opening the door.
