Chapter 1207 Are You Jealous?
Fifty minutes later, Isla's car pulled into the parking lot of a skyscraper.
Benjamin watched her park and head into the elevator lobby, where two tall security guards stood at the entrance.
After showing them something, the guards let her take the elevator up.
Benjamin looked puzzled, but the driver said, "There's a high-end club on the top floor. This elevator's probably the only way up. Only people worth over a hundred billion dollars can bring guests in, so it's mostly the super-rich and powerful. Your girlfriend's not simple."
Benjamin was stunned.
He had just arrived in Whisperlyn City and didn't know much about it.
But considering Isla's influential friends, it wasn't surprising she could get into such a place.
He definitely didn't have the credentials to go in. Just as he was thinking of leaving, he saw a car stop at the elevator entrance, and a woman in a red dress got out.
Benjamin's eyes widened; it was Olivia.
He had seen Olivia at a Brooks family wedding before. Although four years had passed, and Olivia's aura had changed a lot, but he still recognized her immediately.
Isla had just gone in, and coincidentally, Olivia, who had been missing for years, also appeared there.
So, Isla really did know Olivia, and Laura wasn't lying.
Four years ago, he thought Laura came to his company to hit Isla out of jealousy and irrationality.
At that time, Isla said she wasn't familiar with Olivia at all.
Isla must have lied.
Did she lie about just this, or did she lie about many things?
Benjamin was completely bewildered.
Until the driver suddenly said, "That woman is definitely a celebrity."
Benjamin looked again. This time, a luxury sports car arrived, and a woman in a beige dress, wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap, got out.
This kind of face-covering outfit did look like something a celebrity would wear.
But who was she?
The back of this person also looked very familiar.
Benjamin frowned, and then it hit him.
It was Sarah.
Back in college, Sarah was at the university next to Laura's, and she would often come to see Laura.
Even later, when he and Laura were dating in college, Sarah often joined them for meals.
But later, when Sarah became famous, she stopped associating with Laura and Cassie.
He remembered that when Laura and Sarah cut ties, he and Laura hadn't broken up yet. It was said that Sarah had stolen Cassie's music drafts and had teamed up with Olivia multiple times to go against Cassie.
Benjamin never had a good impression of Sarah.
Isla, Olivia, Sarah—all from Silverwood, all appearing here at the same time!
Benjamin thought it was too much of a coincidence that he suspected they were having a gathering here.
But what he found even harder to believe was that Isla would become friends with these two malicious women.
"Please drive the car out," Benjamin said. He didn't have the qualifications to enter that club and didn't expect to sneak in.
After getting out of the car halfway, he took out his phone and hesitated for a long time before calling Laura.
"Benjamin." The familiar voice on the phone almost made him lose it. But he knew he had no chance left. "Laura, I just saw Isla go into the Skyline Club. Not long after, a woman who looked a lot like Olivia also went in. Later, it seemed like Sarah showed up too."
"Sarah?" Laura was shocked.
"I'm not sure," Benjamin hesitated. "She was wearing a hat and sunglasses, but it looked like her."
"It might be her. She used to be close to Olivia," Laura said through gritted teeth. The news surprised her.
She had just talked to Benjamin, and by evening, he brought good news.
She didn't expect Benjamin to actually investigate Isla.
"Does Isla know?" she asked quietly.
"I followed her secretly. Maybe you were right," Benjamin said with deep regret. "Laura, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have hit you four years ago."
"It's all in the past. Forget it. I'm already touched that you're willing to help me now. Thank you, Benjamin." Laura had just finished speaking when Michael's angry voice came from behind her.
"Laura, who are you talking to?"
"I have to go. Thanks again." Laura hurriedly hung up.
Benjamin also heard Michael's irritable voice. Coupled with Laura's panicked tone, he felt she wasn't living well in the Jude family, always being cautious.
The more he thought about it, the more he regretted it.
If they hadn't broken up, she wouldn't have married a man who didn't care about her.
In the Jude Villa, Laura put down her phone and looked at Michael, who was wearing an apron. "Is dinner ready?"
"Laura, you have the nerve to ask me that." Michael was jealous. "I'm in the kitchen making food for you, and you're hiding on the balcony talking to your ex. Don't think I didn't hear you calling him Benjamin so tenderly. Don't forget how he used to hit you. Don't be so cheap."
"I told you this morning, I had no choice. I needed to get some inside information from Benjamin," Laura said irritably.
"After what you did to him, why would he help you?" Michael cursed.
Laura smiled. "Then you really don't understand men. He already told me some big news."
Michael was stunned, then his face turned grim. "Why did he suddenly tell you the news? I heard you went out today. Laura, you didn't do something to Benjamin, did you? Did you kiss him, hug him, or say something to make him think you still have feelings for him?"
"Don't think of me as so dirty." Laura gave him a sidelong glance. "We just had a heart-to-heart talk."
"A heart-to-heart talk?" Michael was speechless. "You're my wife, and you go have heart-to-heart talks with your ex. Don't think I didn't hear it; you were talking to him so tenderly."
"I had no choice. If I didn't do that, how could I make him feel guilty and willing to help me?"
"Laura." Michael gritted his teeth. "I warn you, this is the last time. I don't want to see you contacting Benjamin again. I'm not dead yet."
"Why are you so agitated?" Laura pouted. "Are you jealous?"
