Chapter 952 It Was Joseph Speaking

Wyatt looked at Liam calmly. "If you don't go, you'll definitely regret it."

Liam gave a bitter smile, thinking, 'Well, Joseph won't let this slide.'

Liam also wanted a chance to talk to Joseph. He didn't want to live forever with the stigma of plagiarism.

Soon, Wyatt brought him into the Dragon's lobby.

Joseph was sitting on a chair to the side, his handsome face calm, hiding his true emotions.

"Joseph, Liam's here." Wyatt kicked Liam hard.

Caught off guard, Liam fell to the ground. He tried to get up, but Wyatt pressed him down firmly.

Liam bit his lip and glared at Joseph defiantly. "I didn't do anything wrong, and I didn't plagiarize. Joseph, you should know I haven't been to the Chamberlain family these days. I've already cut ties with my dad."

"If you've cut ties, why still call him dad? Is it because Marcus has another illegitimate child and woman, making you feel uneasy and leading you to believe that Marcus has deceived you?" Joseph walked up to Liam, speaking coldly.

Liam retorted angrily, "Stop making baseless assumptions, alright? I've known about Marcus having an illegitimate child for a while now. Yes, I was uneasy before because I didn't want to be constantly overshadowed by you. But once I discovered Marcus had an illegitimate child, I didn't want to betray the Hernandez House. Marcus... he doesn't really care about me. I wasn't embraced by the Chamberlain family either, and I also resent Marcus for betraying my mother. I despise him."
"If Marcus truly didn't care about you, he wouldn't have swiftly bailed you out after I had you taken to the police station," Joseph sneered. "Oh, and Marcus has publicly declared his intention to change your surname. From this moment on, you'll be known as Liam Chamberlain."
"That's just Marcus's ploy to create discord between me and the Hernandez family," Liam shouted. "He's extremely cunning."

"I know he's cunning." Joseph stomped hard on Liam's back.

Liam's eyes were red, and he clenched his fists, pounding the ground forcefully. "I didn't do it, Joseph. Why don't you believe me?"

"I want to believe you." Joseph felt inexplicably uncomfortable seeing Liam like that.

Originally, Joseph had always hated Liam, but for some reason, seeing Liam like this made him inexplicably irritable.

Perhaps Joseph didn't harbor as much animosity towards Liam. The grievances of the elders had little to do with Liam.

Originally, Joseph had thought of letting Liam take over the position of president of the Hernandez House in a few years. After all, Liam was also Mabel's son, Joseph's half-brother.

"Liam, I've been checking the lab's surveillance these past two days. I wanted to clear your name, but unfortunately, the timing of the data deletion coincides with your presence in the lab. It appears to have been you." Joseph pressed harder with his foot, his tone filled with disappointment and anger. "You let down the Hernandez family. It took the Hernandez family over a hundred years to get to where it is today, but thanks to you, it's all ruined now."

"How could it be..." Liam was completely bewildered.

The moment of the data deletion coincided with Liam's entry into the lab. That was clearly someone setting him up, but the person who deleted the data was Marcus's man. Why would Marcus frame Liam like that? Liam was innocent.

Desperate tears flowed from Liam's eyes.

"Yeah, how could it be? I also want to know how our Hernandez family ended up like this." Joseph laughed. "The chip I spent so much money developing, you gave it to someone else. Now, the Hernandez House isn't even in the top 100 companies in Madison anymore, let alone the top family. We don't even have any liquid assets left. All of this is thanks to you, Liam. I want to kill you. Everyone in the Hernandez family hates you. You're just as ungrateful as the Chamberlain family."

"If you envy me, you could compete with me fairly. Why use such despicable means?" The more Joseph talked, the angrier he got. He suddenly grabbed Liam and punched him hard until Liam spat blood.

Liam, hungover from the night before, was no match for Joseph, and the emotional blow left him dazed. He lay on the ground, laughing, tears streaming down his face.

Liam asked himself inwardly, 'What exactly did I do wrong? Why does everyone blame me?'

"Go ahead, Joseph, if you have the guts, beat me senseless," Liam shouted at Joseph with red eyes.

"I won't beat me senseless, but I'll make sure you can never take over the Chamberlain family. Do you think a ruthless man like Marcus would want a disabled person?" Joseph picked up a nearby iron rod and struck Liam's leg with force.

Liam even heard the sound of his knee joint. His eyes widened, and he fell to the ground, clutching his leg, curling up in pain, almost fainting.

Joseph looked down at Liam, his hand holding the iron rod trembling slightly. After struggling for a long time, Joseph turned to Wyatt and said, "Throw him out. I never want to see him again."

Wyatt glanced at Liam and, along with the Dragon members, dragged Liam out.

Liam kept glaring at Joseph, his bloodshot eyes filled with hatred.

After Liam left, the lobby was very quiet. The Dragon members had just witnessed Joseph and Liam fighting, and no one dared to say anything.

Liam's fallen phone suddenly rang on the ground. Joseph bent down to pick it up, and it was Cassie's number.

Joseph's throat moved slightly. After the phone rang for more than ten seconds, he pressed the answer button.

"Liam, are you awake? I'll be downstairs at your hotel in about ten minutes." Cassie's voice came through.

Joseph felt desperate, thinking, 'Cassie returned, but she would rather contact Liam than ever think of contacting me.'

"Liam, why aren't you talking? Are you still drunk? I wanted to ask you about..." Cassie asked.

"Liam's not here," Joseph interrupted Cassie.

Cassie was startled that it was Joseph. She almost revealed Sophia's identity.

"Why is it you?" Cassie suddenly remembered that the Hernandez family thought Liam was a thief, and a bad feeling surged in her heart. "What did you do to Liam?"

Joseph said lowly, "Cassie, he's the traitor who destroyed the Hernandez House. You should expect what I did."
