Chapter 1651 I Never Loved You

Laura hadn't finished speaking when Michael stepped out of the black sedan. His mouth was covered in stubble, his eyes were bloodshot, and his angry expression made Laura scared. She instinctively turned to run.

Michael quickly chased after her, grabbing her collar from behind and yanking hard.

Caught off guard, Laura was pulled to the ground, landing painfully on her tailbone and arm.

"Get up." Michael, out of control, yanked her up from the ground and dragged her towards the black sedan.

"What are you doing, Michael? Let me go." Laura remembered Cassie's analysis and, seeing Michael's sinister look, she was terrified. She couldn't get in the car no matter what.

She struggled desperately.

"Try struggling again." Michael, full of anger, grabbed her by the neck. "Laura, I'm giving you one last bit of dignity. Don't be ungrateful."

"You're crazy." Laura shouted in agitation, "Help!"

Michael covered her mouth with his hand.

"Fine, if you don't want to get in my car, then get in yours."

Michael yanked her hair.

Laura's eyes filled with tears from the pain, but her mouth was covered, so she could only kick him desperately.

"Stop." At that moment, a gray sedan screeched to a halt in front of them, and two tall men rushed out.

"Michael, let go of Ms. Miller right now, or we'll get rough." A man in a black jacket warned as he quickly approached.

Michael squinted his eyes and forcefully pushed Laura towards the man.

The man quickly caught Laura and asked with concern, "Ms. Miller, are you okay? We're here on Mr. Derek Jude's orders to protect you."

"Quick, call the police." Laura shouted excitedly, "He tried to kidnap me."

"When did I kidnap you? I just wanted to talk to you in the car." Michael raised an eyebrow, revealing a row of white teeth. "You almost hit my car just now. I lost control and got a little angry."

"You." Looking at Michael's expression, Laura felt a chill down her spine.

It was terrifying how Michael had changed.

"Michael, don't go too far. We've been divorced for a long time." Laura couldn't take it anymore and shouted, "Can you stop bothering me? I told you, I did nothing wrong, and I didn't cheat on you. I have a clear conscience."

"What woman would admit to cheating?" Michael stared at her. "Laura, I hate you. Do you know that? I never wanted to divorce you in the first place. You insisted on it. If you hadn't divorced me, I wouldn't have married Megan, that witch. And you were involved with Derek during our marriage, yet you blamed me for cheating. You ruined my reputation. You're responsible for what I've become."

"Are you crazy?" Laura was almost driven mad. "You agreed to the divorce. You couldn't wait to marry Megan. What does that have to do with me?"

"Wasn't it you who took the blame for Bernice on purpose to make me hate you and divorce you? At first, I thought you were genuinely protecting your friend. Now I understand, protecting your friend was just an excuse. You wanted to be with Derek."

Michael became more agitated, his eyes filled with a bloodthirsty look. "Otherwise, why did you rush to move into the Presidential Palace after the divorce? You want my daughter to call Derek 'Dad,' don't you? Laura, I'm telling you, no way."

Laura was scared, really scared.

What a demon she married!

"Michael, I'll say it again. I did nothing wrong." Laura, agitated, voiced her deepest feelings. "I moved into the Presidential Palace to avoid you. Do you think I changed my feelings quickly? I'm telling you, I didn't change my feelings. I only had a little bit of affection for you back then. Yes, I married you, but I didn't love you. I agreed to live with you for Maeve's sake.

"Do you understand? I never loved you, so after our divorce, I moved on because I never loved you."

Michael's pupils contracted sharply, and his chest tightened as if he were suffocating.

"What did you say?" He glared, rushing forward in anger.

"Michael, calm down." The two bodyguards quickly blocked him.

Michael, trembling, pointed at Laura. "I was so good to you, and you say you never loved me. You liar. I went to great lengths to surprise you every morning. You liar. You said you loved me."

"Did I? I don't remember." Laura, also agitated, lost her composure. "Even if I did, it was to give you dignity. After all, I agreed to live with you. I regret it now. I shouldn't have had any affection for you because you don't deserve it. And don't talk about surprises. Your surprises made me sick.

"My first time was with you. I gave you a child. Your generosity towards me is a mere shadow of what you show Megan!"

Laura started to curse. "You never respected me, yet you wanted me to love you. How shameless."

"Let me go. I need to teach her a lesson. I loved her so much, and she trampled on me, hurt me. Laura, I won't let you go." Michael couldn't take it anymore and started pushing against the bodyguards.

"Ms. Miller, you should leave." The bodyguards grabbed Michael's arms, but he was on the verge of losing control.

"Be careful." Laura glared at Michael and turned to leave.

When she returned to the Miller family mansion, she was still trembling with anger.

"Why are you back so early today?" Rose came out of the house.

When Laura saw Rose, tears suddenly streamed down her face. "Mom."

She hugged Rose tightly and started crying.

"Laura, what's wrong? Who bullied you?" Rose asked anxiously. "Was it someone from the Jude family?"

"It was Michael." Laura wiped her tears with hatred. "He almost hit me with his car and then grabbed me."

After speaking, she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her elbow. She rolled up her sleeve and saw a large patch of skin scraped off, bleeding.

Rose exclaimed, "That bastard Michael. I'll have your brother call the police."
