Chapter 1077 What Is She Trying to Do?
"I know," Joseph said, filled with pain, "I've just been enduring it all this time. I can't even protect Cassie, Sophia, and Oliver. I feel like a complete failure."
"This is just temporary," Cameron said, "David is so arrogant now because he has the Chamberlain family backing him. Once the Chamberlain family falls, he will be nothing. You can deal with him then."
"Dad, do you really think Isabella is the mistress of Neya City?" Joseph suddenly asked in a low voice, "If David knew Isabella's true identity, how could he dare hit Cassie?"
"I was surprised, too. Could I have guessed wrong?" Cameron also became suspicious.
"Forget it. I actually hope you're wrong. If Isabella's identity is really that significant, reconciling with Cassie might be even more difficult." Joseph sighed.
After a week, Cassie was discharged.
On the day of her discharge, the hospital entrance was crowded with reporters. Lucas arranged for them to leave secretly through the underground parking lot.
However, as soon as the car drove out of the parking lot, reporters blocked it.
All kinds of trash were thrown at the car, which became stuck and couldn't move an inch.
Someone even opened the door and forcibly dragged the driver out. Immediately, several reporters swarmed in.
"What are you doing?" Aiden was furious when he saw the crazy reporters.
The reporters ignored him and kept taking pictures of Joseph and Cassie. "Joseph is really here. Cassie cheated and got caught red-handed."
"When I brought her to the hospital, didn't you already take pictures?" Joseph coldly covered the reporter's camera. "Get out, all of you, or don't blame me for being rude."
"Come on, what are you going to do? Hit us if you dare." The reporters were extremely shameless. "You cheated and are still so arrogant. I just want to take clear pictures of you two and show everyone your ugly faces."
"Do you want to take pictures of us?" Cassie suddenly smirked. Her face had recovered a lot during her hospital stay, but it was still pale.
"I don't just want to take pictures; I also want to interview you." The reporter sneered. "Did you ever love David, the man who gave everything for you and loved you silently? You heartlessly used and mistreated him. Don't you feel any guilt?"
"Cassie, ignore him. I'll get him out." Joseph, seeing the reporters' aggressive behavior, couldn't bear it any longer.
"Why bother? Let them interview." Cassie smiled brightly at the reporter. "Asking these boring questions is too dull. Why not ask something more explosive?"
After saying that, she suddenly turned Joseph's face and kissed his thin lips forcefully.
Joseph was stunned, thinking, 'What is Cassie trying to do?'
Aiden was so angry that he had a headache. "Cassie, what are you doing?"
The reporters were taken aback; it was the first time they had encountered such a cooperative interviewee.
After taking pictures, a reporters asked, "Are you claiming that you did cheat?"
"No, I want to tell David in this way that I despise him very much. I'd rather be with Joseph than continue with him. Do you think he's deeply in love with me? Alright. Tomorrow at 8 AM, I revealed his true colors to you." Cassie blinked and smiled playfully.
"What do you mean?" The reporters didn't get it.
Joseph got into the driver's seat and pushed the reporters out. He opened the window and said, "You give me too much credit. I was attacked at the police station last time and suffered significant trauma. I've been seeing specialists every week. I can't have sex with Cassie. You can check; Lucas has been looking for overseas urologists for me for a month."
The reporters were dumbfounded. "Don't try to fool us. You said you had issues before, but during the confrontation with Megan in court, Mark presented evidence that you bought contraceptives."
"I indeed have issues with Megan, but not with Cassie. However, I do have problems now. As I said, you can check. I've been taking medication," Joseph said calmly.
"But we clearly saw kiss marks on Cassie when you brought her to the hospital last time," the reporter said unwillingly, "You had them, too."
"I kissed her," Joseph nodded. "But unfortunately, I can only kiss her and do nothing else."
"In any case, Cassie cheated during her marriage. You two are having an affair," the reporter said disdainfully.
Joseph chuckled. "I dared to crash a wedding back then. Do you think I care about my reputation now? I love her. Whether she's married or not, she won't escape me in this lifetime. Go ahead."
As Joseph said so calmly and arrogantly, the reporters were dumbfounded.
Based on past experiences, the situation shouldn't be like this. Shouldn't the parties involved try their best to clear their names?
"You are so immoral. You are a bad influence on society," the reporters scolded.
Joseph sneered. "All I know is that if it weren't for David, Cassie and I wouldn't have broken up and divorced. He's been secretly sowing discord between us for three years, scheming and hypocritical. I must expose his true face."
After saying that, he started the car. As the reporters still wouldn't move, he revved the engine menacingly.
The reporters fled in panic.
Joseph sneered, shifted gears, and drove away smoothly.
In the car, Aiden was very angry. "Cassie, what are you thinking? Aren't the outside criticisms harsh enough? You even kissed Joseph in front of the reporters. Are you really going to reconcile with him? And you, Joseph, won't you leave Cassie alone? Do you want to ruin her life?"
Joseph remained silent, letting him scold all the way.
