Chapter 748
"I will, I will take good care of the child," Megan cried.
"Megan, I can't trust you. We're still young. Let's talk about having a child later," Joseph said, turning his face away. "You go back. I still have a lot of things to deal with. Also, you don't have to cook for me at noon anymore. I would rather you have your career instead of trying to please me every day."
After saying that, he settled down into his office chair and began to work.
Megan was furious. But she could only pretend to be aggrieved and walked out of Hernandez's group.
She never thought that her meticulously crafted image would not crumble in front of Cassie but would actually be shattered by a child in the end.
At this moment, Rex called her, "Quickly send me two million. I don't have money."
Megan was very angry. "How long has it been since I gave you two million last time? Do you think I'm a money-printing machine? Do you know how hard it is to earn two million?"
"It's hard, but it's not a big deal for Joseph, right?" Rex said indifferently, "You're about to marry the richest man in Madison, half of his money belongs to you."
Megan felt like she was going to vomit blood, "That's right, I'm going to marry him, but if I frequently use his card, he will notice."
"Just say you bought something random," Rex impatiently said, "Hurry up, I need it urgently."
"Rex, I beg you, can't you use the money to do something right? Don't think I don't know. You use the money for gambling, drinking, and sleeping with women. I've caught you bringing women to the apartment a few times; don't infect me."
"Shut up, be polite when you speak. I don't bring women. Do I have to rely on you to solve my sexual needs every day? It would be boring to sleep with you every day."
It was as if Megan had been slapped hard in the face. After a moment, she lowered her eyes and said, "Fine, I'll transfer the money to you."
After hanging up the phone, a hint of hatred flashed in her eyes.
Rex had to go.
She slowly took out her phone and dialed a number.
Shortly after Sophia finished breakfast, Cassie received a call from Liam, "Cassie, I can't make it. Joseph said there was an urgent matter at the company for me to handle, so I hurried back just to check a few forms; it annoyed me. The problem is he said I can't leave until I finish checking. He clearly doesn't want me to see you, despicable man."
Cassie felt speechless, "Forget it, I'll take Sophia to daycare."
"Go ahead, I've already talked to the head teacher," Liam said irritably, "I'll come pick up Sophia in the evening."
"Okay."
Cassie personally took Sophia to daycare in the same class as Oliver.
The daycare teachers didn't know that the two were twins. Cassie just said that Sophia and Oliver were good friends.
