Chapter 919 Regret and Guilt
James answered, "Marriage is a significant matter. His proposal to Megan is his affair, but the Jude family will not approve of that marriage, nor will they accept Megan into our family. As for Laura, she is the fiancée chosen by the entire Jude family for him. Given the circumstances, the Miller family will soon discuss the marriage arrangements with us."
A reporter asked, "What about Megan?"
James stated, "The Jude family has strict traditions and will never allow Michael to have multiple wives."

Michael was stunned. "I proposed and gave her a ring. All the media know about it."
"As long as there is no engagement, she is not your fiancée," Eric interrupted coldly. "Moreover, you slept with Laura, so you must take responsibility. The Jude family cannot act irresponsibly."
"Speaking of last night, Julia clearly set me up." Michael glared at Julia. "I have investigated. The suite I slept in last night was booked under your name. The surveillance at the door shows that you brought me into the room. You did it on purpose."
"Yes, it was me," Julia said calmly.
"You're my sister. How could you do this to me?" Michael cursed angrily. "You're a cold-blooded woman, willing to do anything to please Grandpa."
"Shut up." Julia glared at him coldly. "Do you know why I put you in there last night? That's because Laura was being set up in the banquet hall. Your company's R D director was sabotaged at the press conference. I don't understand how you manage the company."
"No way..." Michael was shocked.
"If Laura hadn't been disoriented, do you think she would have had relations with you?" Julia sneered. "By the way, the person who set her up was Megan's brother."
"You mean Nathan?" Michael was very surprised.
If it were anyone else, he wouldn't believe it. But recalling what Nathan had done to Laura before, he couldn't completely deny it.
"Could it be a misunderstanding?" he then asked.
"When I went to the hotel last night, I noticed that something was wrong with Laura. She could barely stand, so I quickly had my assistant take her to my room. Later, Nathan searched everywhere for someone in the same area where I had found Laura, and he even found her room. I wanted to check the surveillance footage, but coincidentally, the cameras on the 28th floor were down last night," Julia stated.
As Julia finished speaking, Eric slammed the table in fury. " Nathan is too audacious."
"He's not audacious; the hotel staffs know his sister is Michael's girlfriend, so they dare not offend him." Julia cast a cold glance at Michael. "If it weren't for you, Nathan wouldn't have come. Given the situation, it was only right for me to send you to save Laura. You caused the trouble, so you should solve it. It's fitting. Moreover, Laura was clearly heavily drugged last night. Even a cold bath didn't help. I was afraid something might happen to her."

"You're despicable!" Michael said coldly. "But even if you called the reporters, it won't work. I won't marry Laura, not even if I die. I will never hurt Megan. I'll go clarify this to the media right now."
He turned to leave.
Julia's calm voice came from behind him. "Go ahead. If you dare to do that, the Ocean Blue group's new product won't be released. I just need to call the relevant authorities, and there are plenty of ways to stop it. Not just the new product; I can even have all the counters of Ocean Blue group shut down overnight. You can try if you want."
"You..." Michael glared at her, his eyes filled with a desire to tear her apart. "Grandpa, Dad, look at her!"
"Julia, if you can't handle it, you can always come to me," Eric said softly. "We can shut down his Ocean Blue group and make sure he earns nothing. It's not impossible."
"Thank you, Grandpa." Julia smiled slightly.
Michael was very frustrated.
At Coastal Garden, when Laura saw Eric's video, she was beside herself.
"Are the Jude family members out of their minds? When did I become Michael's fiancée? How come I don't know about it?" Laura snorted.
Cassie gave her a worried look. "The Jude family doesn't want Michael to marry Megan, so they're pushing you out to stop them."
"I won't marry him. He can do whatever he wants with Megan," Laura said angrily.
Cassie sighed. "You have no choice but to admit it. If you deny it, the netizens will call you a home wrecker, saying you ruined Michael and Megan's relationship. Do you want to be called a home wrecker, or would you rather Megan be blamed?"
Laura was stunned, on the verge of tears. "Why is this happening?"
"It's quite simple. The reporters this morning were definitely arranged by the Jude family. They probably just went along with it." Cassie frowned. "As for you being framed last night, the Jude family wouldn't do such a thing. Were you being watched by some creepy man yesterday?"
