Chapter 1093 Seeing Through Megan's True Nature
Jacob must have said something that made Megan laugh uncontrollably.
Jacob lowered his head and bent down to kiss Megan on the lips.
Michael stared at the scene, his mind completely blank. He was shocked that Megan, whom he had always loved, was kissing Jacob.
Megan was Michael's girlfriend!

Lucas followed his gaze and quickly walked over to block the closing elevator.

"Megan." Michael walked over step by step, his eyes filled with shock, confusion, fear, and anger.
"Why did you lie to me? What's going on between you and him?" Michael grabbed Jacob by the collar and, like a madman, raised his fist to punch him. Megan quickly rushed over and hugged his arm. "Don't hit him."
Michael trembled, his eyes welling up with tears. "Megan, are you still the same person I used to know?"
"Get lost." Jacob pushed Michael away angrily. "Are you looking for trouble?"
"You're the one looking for trouble." Michael was infuriated.
But this time, Lucas blocked Michael. "Michael, calm down. This is Mr. Henderson from Evergreen Wealth Management Group."
Michael's body froze. He hadn't thought much about it. Now, he suddenly realized that Jacob and he had met at various business summits before.
"Mr. Nelson is a discerning man," Jacob glared at Michael and said, "The Jude family has long severed ties with you. If you dare beat me today, you'll pay the price."
"Fine, I'll kick your ass first and see what price I have to pay." Michael was already furious, ready to fight Jacob.
However, the next moment, Megan stood in front of Jacob, her face indifferent. "Michael, it's not his fault. I don't want to be with you anymore. I'm sorry."
"What did you say?" Michael was stunned. Even though he had just seen her being intimate with Jacob, he still didn't want to face reality. "Megan, did he force you?"
"Force her?" Jacob sneered. "Come on, Michael. Megan just found someone with a better future than you. Sure, I'm not as handsome as you, but I'm richer and have better prospects."
"I don't believe it," Michael shouted, his eyes red, "Megan, I don't believe you're a vain person."
"Enough, stop talking." Megan was annoyed by his shouting. "Michael, I actually don't like you. I hate your personality. I agreed to be with you because you were part of the Jude family. But now, the Jude family doesn't care about you, and I don't want to waste my time on you. Mr. Henderson is more powerful than you, and I'm already with him."
"No." Michael shook his head, on the verge of collapse. "Megan, I left the Jude family for you."
"Anyway, I don't want to stay with you anymore. You're useless. When Joseph tried to take my money, you couldn't help at all. You're just like a waste." Megan's face was full of disgust. "You don't deserve me. I've been avoiding you recently, thinking you could figure it out. Stay away from me, please!."
"Did you hear that?" Jacob sneered. "Get lost."
Jacob then forcefully pushed Michael aside.
Michael looked at Megan blankly, thinking, 'Is this the Megan I love? How could she become like this?'
Lucas frowned and looked at Megan coldly. "Megan, do you know Mr. Henderson has a daughter, even though he's divorced?"
Facing Lucas's gaze, Megan shivered but still said stubbornly, "I know, but do you think I can still marry into a wealthy family with my current reputation? Michael doesn't deserve me. Mr. Henderson is just right, powerful and wealthy."
"Fine, suit yourself. I hope you don't regret it and come back to bother Michael." Lucas let go of the elevator door, leaving Megan and Jacob out of sight.
"I don't believe Megan is that kind of person. I don't believe it." Michael came to his senses and stumbled, trying to chase after them, but Lucas grabbed his arm.
"Michael, wake up," Lucas warned him in a low, cold voice, "You're my friend, Michael Jude. Do you really want to lose your dignity for Megan?"
Michael's body froze. He stared blankly at the elevator door as if he had lost his most cherished possession, feeling pain and helplessness.
Lucas said, "I've hinted to you before that Megan is not simple. Do you know why Joseph abandoned her? Joseph saw through her nature. If Megan wasn't a vain woman, why would she fight so hard in court for ten billion dollars? She refused to return it to Joseph. You've been blind. Didn't her attitude towards you change after the Jude family publicly severed ties with you? She could date Joseph and be Rex's lover at the same time. So, she could cheat on you while dating you. Why do you think James and Caroline were so adamant about not letting you be with her? It's not just because they didn't like Megan. The Jude family has never been unreasonable. They saw through Megan's nature. Letting her marry into the Jude family would ruin the family's reputation. I didn't tell you these things before because I already sensed that Megan wouldn't be content with marrying you. She wanted to climb higher."
Lucas's words were like bombs, exploding one after another in Michael's mind.
His handsome face grew paler and paler.
In fact, Michael had noticed Megan's changes. Sometimes, he also thought she loved money. However, he tried to ignore it, as he loved Megan.
Michael never thought that Megan would so ruthlessly trample his selfless love.
