Chapter 1178 Are You From the Wittelsbach family of Neya City?

Once Everett got a good look at Joseph, he understood what Cassie meant.

He'd seen Joseph's photo in the pictures Daniele brought. Joseph looked handsome in the photos, but in person, he had an even more noble and elegant vibe.

Everett admitted he was good-looking too, but he lacked the calm and steady aura Joseph had developed over the years.

Joseph's indifferent gaze briefly swept over Everett's face.

Joseph thought, "A mixed-race guy. Wait, mixed-race."

He remembered that last time he went to Silverwood, Michael mentioned Cassie was having a late-night snack with a mixed-race guy named Everett.

Joseph's handsome face immediately turned cold, and his mocking gaze landed on Cassie's guilty, pretty face. "Your colleague is mixed-race and very young."

His sexy tone had a hint of coldness, and those who knew him could sense his anger.

Cassie got nervous and decided to tell the truth. "Actually, I met him last time in Silverwood. He just got to Whisperlyn City, and I ran into him today, so I invited him for a meal. You're so possessive. I was afraid you'd overthink, so I said he was my colleague."

After she finished, she quickly stood up and grabbed Joseph's hand. Without waiting for his reaction, she introduced Everett, "Didn't I tell you before? My boyfriend is also very handsome. I wasn't lying, was I?"

Hearing this, Joseph's anger eased a bit.

He knew Cassie did it on purpose.

But hearing her tell Everett that he was very handsome did soothe his proud heart a bit.

However, it didn't mean he wasn't still angry. He'd definitely deal with Cassie later.

Now, in front of others, he had to assert his dominance.

"Hello, Cassie just mentioned you. She said you are mature and steady." Everett smiled and extended his hand.

"Childish," Joseph's sexy, thin lips spat out. Clearly, he didn't take Everett seriously at all.

Everett didn't get angry.

Seeing the tension rise, Cassie quickly said, "Alright, Everett. Have you finished eating? I..."

"I haven't finished." Everett picked up his fork again.

Cassie wanted to say "we should go," but the words got stuck in her mouth.

"Your last name is Wittelsbach?" Joseph's eyes flashed. "Where are you from?"

"Why do you ask?" Everett speared a piece of steak with his fork.

"Are you from the Wittelsbach family in Neya City?" Joseph squinted.

"What are you saying?" Everett looked puzzled. "I'm from Luminara."

Joseph fell silent, scrutinizing Everett with sharp eyes. He noticed that although Everett and Cassie had different features, they had a subtle resemblance when together.

"What are you looking at?" Cassie asked, puzzled.

"Do you think I'm handsome?" Everett said playfully, though he felt Joseph might have discovered something.

"Nothing, darling. I'm hungry," Joseph turned to Cassie. "I haven't had dinner."

As they ate, Everett was surprised and said to Joseph, "You can't eat spicy food?"

"Is it fun for you two to eat together like this, one eating spicy and the other not?" Everett smiled.

Joseph frowned, and Cassie quickly explained, "Actually, I usually eat light. I can occasionally eat spicy food, but too much is bad for the stomach."

Joseph's lips curved slightly, and he turned to kiss Cassie's face.

"What are you doing?" Cassie felt a bit embarrassed being so affectionate in front of others.

"I just want to kiss you," Joseph said with a charming smile. "Darling, I want to eat lobster."

"Don't you have hands?" Cassie rolled her eyes at him.

Joseph sighed softly, "Baby, you lied to me just now, and I haven't even held you accountable."

"Fine, I'll get it for you," Cassie immediately perked up and got him a lobster.

Everett sat across from them, suddenly feeling out of place.

He used to watch Isabella and Declan show off their love at home, and now he had to watch Cassie and Joseph do the same outside.

Everett thought, "Isn't Joseph the richest man in Madison? They said he was ousted a few months ago, but recently, he's made a strong comeback with the Hernandez Group. But he's so childish with Cassie."

After the meal, Everett prepared to pay the bill, but Joseph quickly said, "Cassie invited you to dinner. How could we let you pay?"

Everett smiled and let it go.

After paying the bill, Joseph put his arm around Cassie. "Darling, let's go for a walk. It's been a while since I accompanied you shopping."

Cassie knew what Joseph meant and could only helplessly say to Everett, "Sorry, we'll be leaving first."
