Chapter 1321 "You are already a pervert."

Joseph took a beat, then said, "Yo, check out the dirt on that club. Have Kathleen keep tabs for now, but tell her not to do anything crazy."

Nathaniel was jittery, "When are we busting him out? Aiden almost got messed up yesterday. This has Isabella or David written all over it. And with Ralph backing them, even the Jude family can't touch them. Plus, I heard Isabella helped him with some big business deal overseas. Now, all the big shots in Whisperlyn City are kissing up to him."

"So he thinks he's untouchable now, huh?"

Joseph's lips twisted into a cold smirk, "The cockier they get, the sloppier they get."

Nathaniel blinked, taken aback.

"Let him strut around for a few more days," Joseph said coolly. "We only get one shot at this, and we gotta make sure he can't bounce back."

Nathaniel's heart pounded, "Mr. Hernandez, you're a genius. Should we loop in Ms. Brooks? She's gotta be feeling the heat."

"Not yet. The more David leans on her, the more helpless she'll seem, making him think he's got the upper hand. Why do you think I went after Marigold?"

Joseph leaned back, his voice icy, "I want him to think he's beaten me, that I'm so desperate I have to suck up to Marigold. It'll make the Dixon family drop their guard too."

Nathaniel was shocked, "You're still gunning for the Dixon family?"

"They've done David so many favors. Don't they deserve a little payback?" Joseph grinned, "Just watch. In the next few days, the Dixon family and David will show their hand because they think they've already won. What do you think they'll do once they think they've got it in the bag?"

Nathaniel's mind raced, and he got real scared when he figured it out. Ralph had always been David's backer. Now that David was the richest guy in Madison, even richer than the Jude Group, Ralph would be itching to control Carl and pull the strings in this country.

"Mr. Hernandez, you're a real mastermind." Nathaniel was full of awe. He thought Joseph would be the same after losing his memory, but turns out, he's even sharper now.

The next day at the hospital, Cassie turned on her phone and saw the internet blowing up about her dad's company's warehouse fire. The web was buzzing with bad press about the company after the news broke.

"I used to think this company was solid, with good service and fast delivery. But missing alcohol in the packages? That's just sloppy. No way I'm using them again."

"The CEO, Aiden, used to be a big shot at the Chapman Group. Their delivery service was trash."

Aiden was laid up in the hospital bed, his phone blowing up with calls from the company's top brass. They were all freaking out about businesses bailing on their contracts.

"Mr. Chapman, we paid off the media to keep this quiet, but even Madison's top news channel aired it last night. What do we do now?"

"Just apologize to the public and post the police report," Aiden snapped, hanging up. He looked like he'd been hit by a truck.

His assistant chimed in, "Mr. Chapman, the cops said the warehouse manager got bribed, but they haven't caught the mastermind. It's just their word; no official statement. The public might not buy it, and I think someone's got it out for us."

"Haha, you got that right."

A smug laugh echoed from the doorway. David kicked the door open and strolled in. Cassie and Aiden's faces turned to stone.

"What the hell are you doing here? Get lost!" Cassie stepped in front of him.

"Just here to see our dear old dad." David adjusted his glasses, grinning. "Dad, need a hand? I know a lot of folks in Madison's media. Fixing this is a breeze."

Cassie scoffed, "My dad already had this under control. Bet it was you stirring the pot."

"Spot on." David admitted, giving her a mocking nod. "If you come to my place tonight, maybe I'll let your dad's company off the hook. This is his new baby, all his hard work."

"Dream on!" Aiden sat up, fury in his eyes.

If his leg wasn't busted, he'd have jumped up and decked David. "Even if I lose everything, I won't let my daughter be with a scumbag like you. You don't love her; you're just salty she turned you down. You want to break her, make her suffer just to feed your ego. You're a psycho, plain and simple."

"How dare you insult me!"

David's face twisted, and he eyed Aiden's leg with a nasty grin. He grabbed a chair, ready to smash it down.

"David, don't you dare." Cassie was quicker, kicking him aside.

David stumbled back, rage boiling over. "You dare kick me, Cassie? Think you're still under Joseph's protection? Guess you need a lesson. Guys!"

At his call, a bunch of burly bodyguards stormed in.

"Trash this place!"

"This is the Nelson family's hospital. You can't just waltz in and cause trouble!"

Lucas walked in, cool as a cucumber in his white coat, stethoscope around his neck, a faint smile on his handsome face that sent chills down spines.

David squinted. Lucas was tight with Joseph and had humiliated him before. He'd had it with this crew. "Lucas, you really gonna stand up for these two?"
