"Can I see the text Arthur sent you before he died?" Kathleen asked.
"Sorry, I can't," Cassie refused.
Kathleen sneered. "So, after all this, you have no evidence. You're just trying to sow discord between David and me."
"You can ask Kayla, but she's currently pregnant with the Lewis family's child. I hope you don't approach her during this period. You can send a text instead. Don't endanger your own grandchild," Cassie suddenly said.
"What do you mean?" Kathleen was stunned.
"Have you considered that David might know you would contact me after seeing my WhatsApp post and suspect him of killing Arthur? Is there anyone secretly watching you? If David did kill Arthur, he would kill you, too," Cassie said softly, "It's not a bad thing to be cautious. I don't want Kayla and her unborn child to get involved. She's a good person."
Cassie hung up the phone after speaking.
The story about Arthur sending her a text before his death was fabricated because Cassie couldn't let David know that Kayla had told her. Otherwise, Kayla would be in danger.
