Joseph remained silent, pursing his lips, choosing not to speak.
Megan continued, "Rex did a lot of heinous crimes abroad. After returning, he kept gambling and doing drugs. He had too many enemies."
"Alright, I got it," Joseph finally spoke, then turned to the window.
As Megan gazed at Joseph's handsome profile, she felt a sense of relief, though doubts lingered in her mind. Who had disposed of Rex's body, and who was targeting her?
Megan had no answers, but she was grateful that Joseph chose to trust her.
Upon arriving at Seaside Haven, Joseph escorted Megan inside, but when she saw the several suitcases already packed in the living room, Megan felt very uncomfortable.
"Joseph, what is this... Are we... going to move to a different place?"
