Chapter 1272: Gave Olivia a Slap

Isabella and Olivia both spotted Sophia in her arms at the same time.

Isabella's face twisted into a deep frown, while Olivia's heart started pounding like crazy.

Olivia vividly remembered ordering someone to take care of Sophia. How the heck was she still alive and kicking? No wonder she couldn't get in touch with Alessio before.

But Cassie shouldn't have found Sophia so fast.

Thinking on her feet, Olivia said, "Declan, we already knew Cassie was causing a scene at the door. She brought a whole crew with her. I was scared she might hurt Mom, so I didn't let them in. What were you chatting with Cassie about? Was she trying to get you to let her in?"

Isabella suddenly recalled Declan and Cassie having coffee together before, and jealousy flared up inside her.

"Declan, get your butt in here right now."

In front of everyone, Isabella's bossy tone made Declan feel awkward.

"Did you hear me? Is this chick trying to seduce you again?" Isabella glared at Cassie's face, which reminded her of her younger self. It made her feel sick.

Cassie looked at Isabella and sneered, "Declan, is this your wife? No offense, but she doesn't seem to be in your league."

"What did you just say?" Isabella was almost losing it. She had been respected all her life, and no one had ever dared to provoke her like this. "Are you saying I don't deserve him, but you do? Who do you think you are? You're not even good enough to be my servant."

"Mom, chill out. Declan loves you so much; he wouldn't fall for her." Olivia quickly tried to calm Isabella down.

But the more Isabella heard, the more she lost her cool. "Declan, if you don't come in now, we're done."

Declan's handsome face turned icy with anger.

He felt that Isabella's words were a slap in the face.

Not to mention that Cassie was way younger than him, and he was keeping his distance from her. Yet Isabella and Olivia's words made him seem like a heartless jerk.

"Declan, let me in," Cassie looked at him.

Declan gave her a complicated look, then waved his hand and coldly ordered, "Open the door."

The guards opened the door, and Cassie walked in with her crew. Isabella was fuming.

"Declan, why are you letting her in? Are you planning to off me while Everett is away and we're in Madison?" Isabella glared at Declan with a look full of suspicion and coldness. "I warn you, if anything happens to me in Madison, my people will immediately cut all ties with the Wittelsbach family. Neya City will be a mess."

"Isabella, I really don't get it. We've been married for twenty years. When did I become such a villain in your eyes?"

Declan's eyes were filled with sorrow. "I love you so much. I knew you had a kid before, but I never cared. Do you think I would fall for someone else and kill you?"

His pained gaze made Isabella's body stiffen.

Her heart ached, and as she tried to think clearly, her head suddenly throbbed with pain.

Many images flashed through her mind.

Images of Declan and Cassie having coffee in a café.

Images of Declan and Cassie hugging.

Images of Declan and Cassie getting cozy.

Each image nearly drove her nuts.

"You're all the same. Men are trash. You had ex-girlfriends before you met me," Isabella glared at him with pure resentment.

"Mom, don't fight with Declan."

Before Olivia could finish her sentence, Cassie walked up and slapped her hard.

"Olivia!" Isabella was shocked. She snapped out of it and immediately swung her hand to slap Cassie back.

But Cassie quickly grabbed her wrist and stared at Isabella's face.

The face she had remembered countless times in her mind.

Her heart ached deeply.

She coldly questioned, "Do you know, if you weren't my mother, my elder, I would have slapped you back just the same today."

Isabella sneered, "Don't think I don't know your little schemes. You want to be my daughter for endless benefits. Unfortunately, I could never have given birth to such a vicious daughter like you."

Cassie laughed coldly, like she had just heard the funniest joke, even to the point of tears, "Vicious? Am I as vicious as you? Let me ask you, did you know about Olivia kidnapping Sophia, or was it your plan?"

"That's right, I ordered her to kidnap your daughter. You'd better hand over my son quickly," Isabella lost it and blurted out, "Otherwise, this is just the beginning. I will make your whole family wish they were dead."

Cassie's tears of heartbreak flowed.

"Isabella," Declan sternly rebuked.

He stepped forward and forcefully pulled Isabella away.

"How dare you touch me, Declan? I want a divorce," Isabella angrily pounded his chest with her fists.

"Isabella, get a grip," Declan shouted, "The woman I know would never harm a child."

"I am, I am that vicious," Isabella screamed like a madwoman, "Cassie killed my mom, harmed my daughter Olivia, and I want her to feel my pain."

Declan raised his hand, knocked Isabella unconscious, and held her in his arms.

"Mom," Olivia was stunned, a bad feeling rising in her heart, "Declan, are you really going to betray Mom? She only acted this way because she loves you so much."

Declan looked at her coldly.

His once happy home was now on the brink of collapse because of Olivia.

Originally, he planned to play dumb and slowly investigate Everett's whereabouts before dealing with Olivia. But he knew that if he kept enduring, it would only worsen his relationship with Isabella and cause more harm to others.

"Olivia, do you think I'm easy to fool?" Declan's deep gaze swept over her. Olivia's heart turned cold and she almost suffocated under the pressure.

"Declan, I don't know what you're talking about... ugh."

Before Olivia could finish, Declan grabbed her by the throat.

"You have nothing to do with me," Declan's handsome face gradually filled with rage, "I don't care how you please Isabella, but don't treat me like a fool. Do you know how many women like you I've seen? Pretending not to care about money while your eyes are all over the gold and jewels. You covet Isabella's money but act like you only care about her well-being. When I argued with her, you pretended to mediate while secretly aggravated the dispute. Did you think I wouldn't notice?"
