Chapter 461
The Salt Lake Garden estate, nestled on the tranquil edge of a lake, boasted of sprawling mansions and luxurious villas. A serene lake within the community, a sports field, and top-tier amenities added to its allure.
Cassie, accompanied by another prospective buyer, was touring the expansive grounds in a sightseeing cart. From her vantage point in the office upstairs, the manager caught sight of Cassie's face.
A wave of pallor washed over her, and she immediately alerted the CEO, who in turn, quickly dialed Walter's number.
Upon hearing the news, Walter wasted no time in informing Joseph, "Joseph, Miss Brooks is house hunting."
Joseph, engrossed in reviewing documents in his study, had his attention abruptly diverted by the news. "We had an argument, and now she's buying a house? Is she seriously planning not to return?" he mused aloud.
Walter chose to remain silent. Their argument had been far from trivial, but he didn't want to exacerbate Joseph's agitation. Instead, he offered a comforting thought, "Perhaps she's merely looking to invest, like many of the elite spouses do these days."
A flicker of relief passed over Joseph's face as he considered this possibility. "If my woman wants a house, spread the word to offer her the best deal. Give her a 90% discount," he ordered.
Walter's jaw tightened in disbelief, "Wait, Joseph, a 90% cut? Rosalind will get suspicious. She might not even buy it then."
Joseph shot him an annoyed look, "Fine, then 70% off, not a penny more."
"Alright."
Walter was taken aback. He'd never seen giving a customer such a hefty discount turn into such an ordeal.

Meanwhile, at Lakefront Gardens.
Cassie and Laura Miller were exhilarated after their tour, but the exorbitant price tag—a few hundred million as the starting point—was a slight dampener.
"Give me the best possible price, and I’ll think it over,” Cassie finally said.
“Sure thing, I’ll ask my boss.”
The sales representative returned after a brief five-minute conversation upstairs, brimming with excitement, “Miss Brooks, fantastic news—our boss says, if you place your order today, you’ll be our 1,000th customer. All houses are half-off. And with the 50% discount, you can also crack a golden egg, which has bonuses like additional discounts, or a chance at a free fridge, appliances, a $100,000 luxury prize package.”
Cassie was taken aback, flustered.
Laura Miller couldn’t contain her excitement, “Holy smokes, what a steal! What are you waiting for? Buy it now!”
“Absolutely, it’s a one-time offer for the 1,000th customer only. Even if you buy it as an investment, you can't lose,” the sales rep boasted.
Ultimately, Cassie paid the deposit, and after smashing the golden egg, the sales rep glanced at the prize, covered her mouth and shrieked, “Oh my goodness! You’re incredibly lucky! You've won an additional discount on top of the discount—70% off the original price. That means the $28 million luxury villa is yours for just $8 million, fully furnished and move-in ready. Incredible!”
Cassie was speechless. She felt like she was under some sort of enchantment. Perhaps fortune had finally turned around after leaving Joseph.
Stepping out of the real estate office, Cassie’s head was still spinning, and Laura Miller wasn’t doing much better. “First time I buy a house and I hit this kind of stroke of luck. You think Joseph might be...behind this?”
“No way. He’s all loved up with Joyce Ray. Even if he did think of me, he’d probably just want to lock me up again,” Cassie quipped with a twist of her mouth.
“You’re probably right. Maybe it’s just your lucky day. Enough of that, let’s grab our stuff from the hotel and hit a bar tonight to celebrate your new place!”
