Chapter 805
At Crystal Manor, when Joseph saw the expression of affection, he felt a rush of heat gathering from all over his body to somewhere, making Joseph's throat roll, inexplicably uncomfortable.
Joseph lay down, imagining the scene of Cassie asking for a kiss.
Suddenly.
Joseph sat up abruptly from the bed and sent Cassie a message that he would sleep with her tomorrow, then rushed to the bathroom for a cold shower.
Joseph never imagined that after being with Megan for so long, she couldn't evoke a sexual response from him, yet a simple Facebook message emoji from Cassie could make his blood boil.
Joseph could only smile bitterly.
After coming out of the bathroom, his phone rang again.
Athena called, "Mr. Hernandez, are you really not coming? Miss Ray has been crying in the hospital and refuses to be bandaged."
Joseph felt annoyed for no reason. "Megan's body is hers, not mine."
Startled by Joseph's shout, Athena panicked and explained, "But Miss Ray really needs you, Mr. Hernandez. These days, she hasn't been eating or sleeping well. Tonight, she fell down the stairs because she was absent-minded, and the power went out. The doctor said Miss Ray's leg is injured, and if not treated immediately, she may be disabled in the future."
Athena's words weighed heavily on Joseph's heart.
For the first time, Joseph didn't feel guilty but tired. Just as Cassie said, he and Megan just had a romance.
Why did it turn into him feeling responsible for Megan's future life?
"Okay. I'll come," he said softly after a while.
Athena immediately told Megan about this in the hospital, and Megan was excited. Megan knew that Joseph would come.
However, Joseph didn't come promptly on the first call, making Megan almost go crazy with hatred. Fortunately, Athena finally managed to get Joseph to come.
As soon as Joseph appeared, reporters would take photos. By tomorrow, the whole country of Madison would know about Megan's accident, and Joseph was the first to rush to the hospital in a state of anxiety.
Megan could imagine Cassie's furious appearance tomorrow.
Thinking of snatching her Joseph, as long as she said a word, Joseph would ruthlessly abandon Cassie.
