Cassie's face was indifferent, a stark contrast to the shy and passionate demeanor she had shown in bed the day before. Joseph felt like he was hit with a bucket of cold water.

Cassie turned indifferently and took out milk from the fridge.

Staring at Cassie's back, Joseph said, "If you don't explain, I'll go check on that man to see who he really is."

After saying that, Joseph turned around angrily to leave.

"Stop!" Cassie called out to Joseph, her voice filled with anger, "You're really annoying, always checking the people around me. You checked Tyler before, and now you want to check someone else. Joseph, if you can't even give me a little respect, then we're done."

Joseph froze, then his face filled with a surge of anger. He punched the door heavily, making a dull thud.

But Cassie remained calm, pouring a glass of milk, completely unaffected by Joseph's anger.
