Chapter 1255 Lucas, please let me go.

Lucas took a drag from his cigarette, his voice turning icy. "You know me too well. I can't stand it when people go against my orders, and that includes you. A company can only have one boss if it wants to get anywhere."

"The Nelson group was built by our family. I handed it over to you. If you weren't my son, would the Nelson group be yours?" Yancy shot back, his face cold.

Lucas didn't lose his cool. His tone was sharp. "When I took over the Nelson group, do I need to remind you of its state? Under your management, the Nelson family dropped over ten spots among the elite families in Whisperlyn City. Sure, the Nelson group might not be the richest in Madison or compare to the Jude family with their presidential connections. But everyone in the company knows exactly how much we make each year. I just keep it low-key, but you should know this better than anyone."

Yancy snapped, "But that doesn't change the fact that I gave you the company. You had a head start. Plus, I'm your father."

"Dad, you should be grateful. Without me, how could you live such a cushy life? Wherever you go, people call you Mr. Nelson with respect. Even Mr. Jude treats you nicely. That's all because of me." Lucas casually crossed his long legs. "And the Nelson family's status in the entertainment industry? That's all my doing. It has nothing to do with you."

Yancy was fuming. "You..."

Lucas cut him off, "Being in a high position for too long makes me only want to hear my own voice. Any other voices, even from my own father, get annoying after a while."

His voice was cold, and combined with his handsome, gentle face, it sent chills down people's spines. Even Yancy and Erin felt a wave of coldness, let alone Sarah.

Lucas's lazy gaze landed on Sarah, his disgust clear. "Mom, look at this woman beside you. Compared to Joseph's and Michael's wives, how does she measure up? Honestly, her looks don't match mine at all. As for her character... plagiarism, theft, she's worthless with a bunch of flaws. Just seeing her disgusts me. But for you, I've put up with it and even planned to sacrifice my own happiness. I'm pretty uncomfortable."

Erin was stunned by his words.

Sarah, on the other hand, was already extremely embarrassed.

Lucas, in front of Erin and Yancy, was harshly criticizing her, making Sarah gloomy until she finally cried out of anger, "Lucas, how can you say that about me?"

"Do you know what I dislike most about you?" Lucas slowly stood up, his tall body exuding an oppressive aura.

"It's that you always treat my words like they're nothing," he added indifferently, "I had warned you, I really don't like Olivia, yet you keep contacting her."

"Olivia's status is not ordinary. She's the daughter of the Wittelsbach family," Erin spoke up for her.

Lucas shot back, "So what? You think I'm the type to suck up to the powerful like you guys?"

"How dare you! Mocking your own parents," Yancy snapped, barely holding it together.

But Lucas acted like he didn't hear a thing, snapping his fingers.

A bunch of bodyguards stormed in, making Yancy and the others uneasy. "Lucas, what are you planning?"

"You're my dad. What could I possibly do to you?" Lucas smirked and nodded at the head bodyguard.

The bodyguards moved in and yanked Sarah off her chair.

She was in a dress, and as she hit the floor, it rode up, showing her legs.

With all those guys around, Sarah freaked out. She quickly covered her legs and screamed, "You can't do this to me, Lucas, please let me go. I won't do it again, I swear."

"You've said 'I won't do it again' a million times, but you never learn. Maybe I seem too easy to fool." Lucas didn't even look at her, just waved his hand. "Toss her in the pool."

In no time, Sarah was dragged out.

Erin was genuinely panicked. "Lucas, what are you doing? If something happens to her, what about my blood? Do you want me to die too?"

"Stop it," Yancy tried to step in, furious.

"Go outside and take a look. It's quite a show." Lucas curled his lips, lifted his legs, and strolled out.

By the pool, Sarah was thrown into the water. She climbed out, but her head was shoved back in, choking on water over and over.

Erin watched in horror, and Yancy glanced at Lucas, only to see a satisfied smile on his face, like he was watching a fun show instead of torture.

For the first time, facing Lucas, a chill ran down Yancy's spine.

"Stop it," Erin was the most frantic, her voice cracking.

"Mom, why are you so worked up? If she really dies, I'll have someone keep her last breath and drain all her blood for you." Lucas took another drag from his cigarette.

The cold words hit Sarah's ears, and she nearly broke down.

She had underestimated Lucas's ruthlessness.

Her little schemes were laughable in front of him.

She was truly terrified.

Lucas was a devil.

She had been stupid enough to provoke Lucas for Olivia.

How ridiculous.

She regretted it. If she could do it over, she would never help Olivia.

Offending Lucas, she might not even live to see the international stage she dreamed of.

Several times, she felt death creeping closer until she finally couldn't hold on and passed out.

The bodyguards dragged her out of the water.

Lucas looked at her with disgust. "Call a doctor to wake her up, then lock her in the upstairs room for ten days or so. Keep her out of sight."

As he turned, he glanced at Erin and Yancy. "Mom, if you want to plead for her, you can stay with her."

With that, he walked away leisurely.

Erin watched his cold back, her legs weak.

Was Lucas really her son? He was like a heartless devil.
