Chapter 1059 I Only Care You
"If I need to get a divorce, I can find a way, but not now," Cassie said, looking out the window.
Joseph was a bit annoyed. If Cassie trusted David, that would be one thing, but she doubted David and still refused to divorce him. It was as if she didn't care about her own life. He shouted, "Cassie, why can't you just listen to me?"
"Why should I listen to you?" Cassie retorted calmly, "Just take care of Sophia and Oliver. You don't need to worry about me."
"You are the woman I love. If I don't care about you, whom will I?" Joseph pulled the car over to the side of the road and drew her closer to him. He caressed her fair face, his eyes filled with undisguised, domineering concern. "You have no idea how hypocritical and terrifying David is. Do you think he won't hurt you just because he loves you? You're wrong. He could even harm Sophia and Oliver. There's nothing he wouldn't do in this world."
"In any case, I can't leave right now," Cassie said, her eyes avoiding his handsome face that was so close.
Joseph looked at her stubborn expression, his heart aching with anger. "Cassie, if you don't cherish your own life, and something happens to you, I'll marry a very vicious woman. When she mistreats Sophia and Oliver, don't blame me."
"You!" Cassie glared at him. She knew he was deliberately provoking her, but his words still made her worried.
"Cassie, you don't have to be with me, but I want you to be safe."Joseph pressed his forehead against hers, his tone gentle as if he were pleading. "Forgive me for forcing you like this. I don't want Oliver and Sophia to lost their mommy, and I can't be without you."
Joseph's breath brushed against her nose.
With the car windows tightly closed, Cassie felt the air was a bit stuffy. She pushed his shoulder, avoiding his eyes.
"Cassie, did you hear what I said?" Joseph didn't let her go, holding the back of her head tightly. "I'm not joking."
"Joseph." Cassie blushed from his breath. "Do you have to be so close?"
"Sure." Joseph stared at her trembling eyelashes, his Adam's apple bobbing as he lowered his head to kiss her lips.
"Joseph, I'm not in the mood right now." Cassie immediately pushed him away. As she saw Joseph's burning eyes, she was speechless. "Sophia and Oliver almost died just now, and you still have the mood to get aroused."
"I'm not aroused. I just wanted to kiss you," Joseph teased, "You're not in the mood now, so when will you be? Tell me, and I'll be there."
"Can't you be honest? If you hadn't been entangled with me, Sophia and Oliver wouldn't have encountered this," Cassie said, annoyed.
"You're wrong. If I hadn't been entangled with you, you might have already been living a peaceful life with David, being deceived even worse," Joseph said confidently, "David might not be as deeply in love with you as he says."
Cassie was speechless, thinking, 'Wasn't Joseph quite dumb before?'
"He is not me." Joseph smirked. "I never hide it, nor do I act."
"Do you need me to give you an award?" Cassie snorted, "After all, you're thoroughly bad, and everyone knows it."
"Let's go to the police station." Joseph awkwardly coughed and started the car to divert attention.
Cassie had a lot on her mind and didn't continue to argue with him.
All the way, she was thinking about Rex's death.
Rex's death must have been related to Megan. However, Rex was killed by a hitman in Neya City, and the Chamberlain family had no grudge against Rex, so Megan's hidden backer was likely the Chamberlain family or their mysterious collaborator.
Now, Joseph suspected the mysterious collaborator was David.
If this were true, then David might have connections with Megan.
In a flash, she suddenly remembered that when Megan was kidnapped last time, someone had thrown Spencer and Megan into a cave.
At that time, Cassie was puzzled. Spencer was her most capable assistant and always very secretive. How could someone know about Spencer?

Cassie was furious.
Joseph looked at him indifferently. "Whether it was an accident or you took someone's money, you know it yourself."
Brian looked confused. "I don't know what you're talking about. Whose money did I take?"
"I suspect you tried to kill me on purpose," Joseph said coldly, "Your son, Frank Roberts, is just a thug, but a month ago, he suddenly went to Austin and got a house and a car there."
"That's because he's capable and earned it himself," Brian argued.
Ian Martinez, who was in charge of the case, had Brian taken away and then looked at Joseph. "Mr. Hernandez, is what you said just now true?"
