Chapter 1690 No matter what, I won't let you go.
Elliott, holding a wine glass, choked.
"Mr. Miller, are you okay?"
A partner nearby looked over in surprise. He hadn't drunk much, so why were Mr. Miller's ears so red?
"I'm fine."
Elliott quickly got up and walked outside, angrily saying, "Julia, how can you be so shameless?"
Julia replied, "A little shamelessness doesn't matter."
Elliott was once again left speechless.
"If you don't come back, I'll have to go to the Miller family villa tonight to find you. If your parents ask, I'll just say I'm looking for my husband."
Julia hung up after saying that.
Elliott felt a bit agitated.
Originally, he didn't like drinking at social events, but today, feeling complicated, he drank quite a bit.
When he came out, he saw double images.
After the driver helped him into the car, they headed towards the Miller family villa.
As they were about to arrive, Elliott glanced at the villa complex outside and suddenly said, "Take me back to Meadowbrook Village."
The driver was stunned, not quite understanding why they were heading back to the apartment in Meadowbrook Village tonight. He remembered that Elliott hadn't been there for a long time, and it was probably quite dusty.
But maybe he didn't want Mr. Luke Miller to see him drunk.
The driver thought for a moment and then turned the car around.
Half an hour later, the driver drove into Meadowbrook Village. Elliott didn't let him come up and staggered into the elevator.
After opening the door with his fingerprint, the room was brightly lit, and the floor was spotless, not at all like it had been empty for a while.
This was his house, where he had lived for several months before.
But never had he felt so angry, conflicted, and regretful as he did now.
"You're back."
A slender figure suddenly walked out of the study. Julia was wearing a champagne-colored silk nightgown with a matching robe. The V-neck revealed a large expanse of collarbone, and the short hem showed off her long legs under the light. Combined with her curvaceous figure, Elliott felt his mind was in chaos.
He had already been drinking, and his body was hot. Now, even his breathing became rapid.
The two stood a distance apart, and Julia looked at his gradually deepening eyes, her body uncontrollably heating up, feeling both nervous and awkward.
Despite her strong exterior, this was the first time she had dressed like this in front of a man.
But the next moment, the man's mocking voice hit her heart like an axe.
"This is your outfit for the first night of our marriage?" Elliott's cold voice had no warmth. "I can see you want to have sex. No wonder you threatened me to come back."
Julia's lips stiffened.
Yes, she had forgotten that sometimes being proactive could also seem frivolous.
She just wanted to create an unforgettable memory tonight.
"If you want to have sex so badly, I can only oblige." Elliott tore off his tie, threw it on the ground, and walked over to her, then picked her up roughly.
When Julia was thrown onto the bed, it hurt a bit, and her mind seemed to shake.
But before she could react, Elliott had already torn open his shirt and pressed down on her.
"Elliott, be gentle."
But Elliott, stimulated by the alcohol and the beautiful sight before him, couldn't hear her voice at all.
He kept asking angrily, "Tell me, if you want to have sex so badly, have you done it with other men?"
"You used every means to threaten me into marrying you just to have sex with me. Are you satisfied now?"
"I warn you, you are not allowed to show this side of yourself to other men, or I will never let you go."
His cruel voice echoed in her ears for a long time. Julia felt sorrow at first, then gradually became numb.
The whole night, she didn't know how long it lasted until she finally lost consciousness from exhaustion.
The next day.
When Elliott woke up, his head and stomach felt uncomfortable.
He sat up and found himself in the master bedroom's large bed. Unlike every other time he woke up, the bed was quite messy, and there was a familiar feminine scent in the sheets.
However, the clothes and tissues that had been scattered on the floor last night were gone.
He held his head, feeling confused.
It seemed that every time he encountered Julia, he would lose control and become unlike himself.
He irritably got up and walked to the bathroom.
On the sink, next to his toothbrush cup, there was a pink toothbrush. The towel rack also had two towels, a bath towel, and a face towel, along with some skincare products.
He frowned, and after taking a shower, he walked to the closet and opened the door. Inside, it was no longer just men's clothes; there were also some women's clothes hanging beside them.
When the men's and women's clothes were placed side by side, he was stunned for a few seconds. At this moment, he deeply realized that he was married.
Julia had become his wife.
He stood in front of the closet for a while before changing his clothes and walking out of the bedroom.
From the kitchen, the sound of the range hood came over.
He walked to the dining room and saw Julia wearing an apron, frying something. It seemed she got splashed by oil, and the spatula in her hand fell to the ground.
The scene awakened some memories in Elliott's mind.
Back when they were studying in Austin, he once saw her cooking for him when he was sick.
But in this aspect, Julia was completely inept and clumsy.
After that, he never allowed her to touch a spatula again.
All these years, she was still the same as before.
"With your clumsy cooking skills, how did your ex-husband put up with you?" Elliott walked over, turned off the stove, and glanced at her long hand, which was red from the oil splatter.
Julia lowered her eyes, her lips moved slightly, but she didn't speak.
Elliott sneered coldly, "I forgot, your ex-husband was a patient, but his family was so rich, they must have had plenty of maids. Why would they need you to cook for him?"
Facing his sarcasm, Julia felt a sense of helplessness. She knew that some issues were unresolved between them. "Elliott, the Jude family raised me. I have responsibilities I can't avoid."
"I didn't stop you from fulfilling your responsibilities. When you said you wanted to break up, I didn't cling to you. But you, after all this time, still forced me to marry you."
Elliott looked at her coldly, "Since you made the choice, you shouldn't have come back to me. From the beginning to the end, you never considered or respected my feelings. If you get tired of me in the future and want a divorce, will it be up to you again? In this marriage, I have no autonomy at all."
