Chapter 1798 Many Hidden Identities

"You're not wrong; we did know each other in a past life."

Nina's soft sigh reached Cassie, leaving the usually sharp Cassie a bit bewildered.

In that moment, all sorts of bizarre thoughts flashed through Cassie's mind, and she blurted out, "You don't still have memories from your past life, do you?"

After saying that, Cassie suddenly felt she might have been foolish.

"Oh no, I've been getting dumber lately." Cassie held her forehead, laughing and crying, "I almost believed you."

"I really do have memories from my past life," Nina said.

Cassie fell silent.

"How about I treat you and Laura to dinner tonight? There are some things I've never told you, and it's time you knew the truth. Oh, don't tell anyone else," Nina said, amused by the silence on the other end.

Tonight, these two are going to be very shocked.

After hanging up, Cassie pinched her face hard.

Was she dreaming and not fully awake?

It hurt. Could Bernice really be someone she knew in a past life?

Cassie had only occasionally heard online about some people abroad claiming to be born with past life memories, but no one really believed that.

She thought Bernice must be joking with her, but was Bernice the type to joke?

Feeling a bit confused, Cassie contacted Laura, "Bernice invited us to dinner tonight."

"But I've already made plans with Derek," Laura said.

"Cancel them," Cassie said without hesitation, "We have something very important to discuss."

"What is it?" Laura asked, getting nervous, "Are you planning to start a big company and become the richest person in Madison?"

"No," Cassie said, "But there's something you might not know. Bernice has acquired ten percent of the Nelson Group's shares. She's now a shareholder of the Nelson Group."

"That's not funny at all," Laura didn't believe it. "Even if the Nelson Group isn't what it used to be, it's not something just anyone can acquire. Where did Bernice get that much money? Even if she had acted in the entertainment industry for decades, she couldn't acquire the Nelson Group."

"I'm not lying to you. She's probably the richest among the three of us now," Cassie said, feeling a bit envious herself, "Tonight, we need to make her treat us to a big meal and dig out her secrets."

"Is today April Fool's Day?"

"No."

Laura was shocked, "Oh my god."

Cassie was speechless. "Can you use another word?"

Laura almost cried, "Bernice is too much, silently making big money. Now I'm the poorest among the three of us. Tonight, I need to discuss with her how to make money."

"You don't lack money."

"No one ever thinks they have too much money," Laura retorted.

Cassie laughed. After hanging up, she continued to ponder, trying hard to recall memories of her past life, but found her mind completely blank.

Until Joseph called, "Honey, I'm back from my business trip. How about we go see a movie tonight, just the two of us?"

"No, I have plans with Bernice. I'm not free," Cassie bluntly refused.

Joseph's mouth twitched, "I didn't come home last night, and you don't miss me at all?"

"Didn't we just see each other yesterday morning? We can see each other tonight when I get back," Cassie said, not in the mood to deal with him. "You go take care of the kids."

Joseph replied, "You can meet Bernice tomorrow. Haven't you been meeting frequently lately?"

"No, we have something important," Cassie now wished it was already evening.

The call ended, and Joseph's heart ached with jealousy.

Bernice never found a boyfriend and always took Cassie out.

If he had any suitable friends, he would definitely introduce them to Bernice.

Thinking this, he called Derek, "Has your friend Milan made any progress with Bernice?"

"Cassie isn't paying attention to you tonight either?" Derek, who had just been rejected by Laura, was feeling frustrated.

Joseph was stunned and instantly understood, "Laura isn't with you tonight either?"

Derek was silent.

Joseph laughed, feeling oddly comforted. At least he wasn't the only one alone, "As Milan's friend, you should push him. Bernice is a good girl. If he likes her, he should pursue her boldly."

"Don't worry, I'll talk to him," Derek said, still puzzled. Milan seemed a bit half-hearted in pursuing a girlfriend. No wonder he had never had one; his single status had its reason.

In the evening, Nina chose a small courtyard for dinner.

Cassie and Laura arrived first, and Nina was five minutes late.

"Didn't expect you to be early," Nina said as she sat down.

"I couldn't focus on work all day because of what you said," Cassie said in a wistful tone.

"Me too," Laura looked at Nina, "Bernice, you're too much. Silently making big money. Tell me, do you have many hidden identities, like a legendary music genius or a scientist?"

Nina was silent.

Cassie was speechless. "Laura, what amazing books have you been reading lately?"

"Fiction is based on reality," Laura laughed, "It's not impossible."

"Thank you for thinking so highly of me," Nina smiled, "But I'm not that amazing."

Cassie asked seriously, "You said you have memories from a past life and that you knew me. Is that true?"

"What?" Laura thought she misheard, getting excited, "What past life memories? Is there something big you haven't told me?"

Cassie explained, "Bernice said she knew me in a past life."

Laura was jealous, "If you two knew each other, we must have all known each other in a past life. You wouldn't leave me out, right?"

"Don't worry, we must have. Otherwise, why would the three of us get along so well?" Cassie winked at Laura.

Nina laughed, "I knew both of you."

"You really have past life memories," Laura was excited, "You're too much, keeping it from us. So, tell me, what kind of person was I in my past life? I feel like I must have been someone amazing, maybe a scientist."

Cassie asked, "What about me? Was I married to Joseph in my past life, too, or was I married to someone else?"

Nina's mouth twitched.

These two were thinking too much.
