Chapter 742
But Cassie had already ignored him, and after walking out, Sophia had finished eating, saying satisfactorily, "It was yummy, but I want to sleep now."
"You are such a little piglet, and you need to brush your teeth." Cassie took out a brand-new children's toothbrush and toothpaste from her bag.
Joseph was surprised, "How did you have this in your bag?"
"I bought it downstairs before; you brought Sophia here so late; I guessed she would sleep here."
Cassie led Sophia into the bedroom.
"Wait, where is my toothbrush?" Joseph said, "I can't leave Sophia alone here. I have to stay."
"I'm sorry, but I don't let men stay overnight here, and I don't want Megan and her brother to wreck my house again," Cassie said angrily.
"Megan doesn't know I'm here," Joseph mumbled. I can sleep in the guest room, but I can't leave Sophia alone."
"You let Joseph sleep here." Sophia pleaded softly, "I can't bear to leave him either."
Cassie glared at her, and Sophia stuck out her tongue.
"Fine, if you want to sleep, you can only sleep on the sofa. Laura's room next door—she went back to Madison, but her stuff is all on the bed, and I guess you wouldn't want to sleep there either."
After saying that, Cassie took Sophia in and closed the door.
Joseph pushed open the door to the guest room, took one look, and gave up completely. He couldn't believe that Laura, such a neat-looking woman, could have such a messy bed. It was like a dog's nest.
In the end, he chose the sofa. Although it was almost summer, the nights were still cool.
After sleeping for a while, he felt cold and had to knock on the door of the main bedroom.
Sophia opened the door, rubbing her sleepy eyes, "What's up?"
"Sophia, where's Cassie? Can I get a blanket?" Joseph glanced inside, didn't see Cassie, but heard the sound of water from the bathroom.
"She's taking a shower. We only have one blanket, but there seems to be a spare blanket."
"It's okay." Joseph immediately went in to get the blanket, thinking that if Cassie came out later, he might not even give her the blanket.
As he passed by, he subconsciously glanced towards the bathroom. That glance almost made him nosebleed. Because Cassie was showering with only half the door closed.
He was so excited that she quickly turned around from the showerhead. He quickly grabbed a blanket and walked out.
At the moment the door closed, Cassie, who was showering inside, seemed to have heard something; she immediately looked out but didn't see anyone. But she felt a sense of shame in her heart for some reason.
Before, with Olivia accompanying Sophia, she could confidently close the door to shower.
But now, with only one person in the room, even though Sophia was lying down, as a mother, she couldn't completely relax, so she didn't dare to close the door.
However, she didn't forget that there was a man in the house, even though she had locked the bedroom; what if Sophia opened the door?
She quickly put on her clothes and went out; Sophia obediently lay on the bed, but the blanket on the chair was gone.
