Chapter 1066 The Most Hypocritical Person
An inexplicable chill surged up.
Cassie told herself she was being too sensitive; there was no way David could have noticed so quickly.
However, in the next second, David swiftly grabbed her phone and smashed it hard on the table. The screen shattered instantly, and her phone was completely ruined.
"David..." Cassie stood up abruptly, glaring at him furiously. "What are you doing?"
"Cassie, are you still going to keep pretending with me? Or should I ask you, what exactly have you noticed?" David was still smiling, but his words sent a chill down Cassie's spine.
"I don't know what you're talking about. I just wanted to check that app," Cassie denied flatly, "David, what's wrong with you?"
No matter what, she couldn't fall out with David today because she was in danger, and Spencer and Peter hadn't arrived yet.
"Don't you know?" David raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"What should I know?" Cassie feigned confusion. "You broke my phone like this; you have to compensate me with a new one."
David stared at her silently for a moment, then suddenly laughed. "Cassie, you really are the woman I like. You had a talent for acting just like I did. Actually, we're a perfect match. Now give me back my phone."
Of course, Cassie couldn't give him his phone back.
Since they had already torn off the facade, she had to take his phone. Even if she couldn't take it, she could still contact Spencer in case of an emergency.
"I can't agree to that. You broke mine, so you should compensate me with yours," Cassie turned to leave after saying that.
David grabbed her shoulder, and Cassie immediately twisted away, making the first move against David.
But to her surprise, David easily dodged her strike.
Her eyes widened. The last time they had argued and shoved each other, David clearly didn't know how to fight.
Now, his reactions were just as quick as hers.
"Cassie, I haven't fought in a long time," David said, smiling as he attacked her.
Cassie quickly engaged in a fight with him. David's fighting skills were on par with hers, but he was a man and had more strength. He quickly kicked the phone out of Cassie's hand.
"David, what exactly do you want?" Cassie's pretty face looked as cold as frost. She realized that David had no intention of letting her leave tonight.
David's arrogance was beyond her expectations.
Everyone knew Cassie was his wife, and they lived together. If something happened to her, he would be the prime suspect.
However, David didn't care at all.
"Cassie, you tampered with my computer, didn't you?" David approached her step by step. "That day, you had Spencer cut the power to the villa. You knew a long time ago that this house was full of surveillance cameras."
Cassie gritted her teeth. "How did you notice?"
"The computer had a bit less power," David said leisurely, "When did you start suspecting me?"
Cassie exhaled deeply. Since they had no consideration for their feelings, she didn't pretend anymore. "David, you're the most hypocritical person I've ever met. You've been trying to drive a wedge between Joseph and me for the past three years."
"Cassie, that's because I love you." David knew she might have seen that video, so he didn't hide it anymore. "Besides, I really did save you that time. If it weren't for me, you would have been ruined by someone. If it weren't for me, you would have been stabbed to death back then. But no matter how much I did for you, you only cared about Joseph. My dignity was trampled by Joseph and you time and time again. I swore I would marry you and give back everything you did to me!"
Cassie used all her strength to suppress the anger in her eyes.
Although she had long known David's malicious intentions, they had both been pretending. Now, hearing him say these things, Cassie finally understood how much David hated her.
"So, do you mean I should thank you?" Cassie sneered.
"What else? Cassie, I even lost a kidney for you." David sighed.
"Forget it. If I had known you were such a malicious and disgusting man, I would rather have been killed back then," Cassie said with disgust, "In these three years, you pretended to be good to me on the surface but harmed me behind my back. Three years ago, Olivia had plastic surgery and approached Joseph. That was your doing. Nina was framed and sent to prison, and you had something to do with that, too. And for Arthur's death, you did all the bad things, not even sparing your own nephew."
"You started suspecting me because of Arthur's death." David looked surprised. "I did that flawlessly. How did you know?"
Cassie was horrified. She had just said it on purpose, but David actually admitted it. He really killed Arthur.
Seeing Cassie's shocked expression, David smirked. "I didn't expect you to know more than I thought. Luckily, I acted first."
"What do you mean?" Cassie's face changed. She immediately looked at the food on the table. "What did you put in it?"
"What do you think?" David smiled. "Cassie, I really like you. I put so much effort into you. So if I don't get you, I will never be satisfied. Besides, aren't you very cheap? I saw the video Joseph posted. Don't worry. I will love you just like he did."
"Disgusting." Cassie couldn't bear it anymore and slapped him hard across the face.
David didn't dodge or avoid it. "Go ahead. The harder you hit, the more you'll beg me later."
"You won't succeed," Cassie said and rushed towards the door.
David quickly blocked her.
They started fighting again.
As the fight went on, Cassie felt her body getting itchier and more uncomfortable. Her limbs were also losing strength.
She bit her lip, using the pain to stay more awake.
"No problem. I have all the time to wait for you." David grinned wickedly, grabbing one of her arms and pulling her into his embrace.
"David, let go." Cassie struggled and resisted with all her might.
"No, I still want you to have babies with you." David laughed heartily, pulling out a red rope to tie her up, then carried her upstairs.
In the bedroom, he threw her onto the bed, then took out his phone and started recording a video aimed at the headboard.
Cassie was really scared.
She should have asked for a divorce today. She should have brought Spencer and Peter in with her.
Now, she could only hope that they would come to rescue her quickly after they couldn't reach her.
