Chapter 1030 David Was so disgusting
Mildred nodded with a smile. "It's good. The Hernandez family isn't what it used to be, but you kids have grown up."
Soon, they brought Oliver and Sophia downstairs.
Walter, who had been feeling down lately, was overjoyed when he learned the truth.
Oliver looked at everyone and seemed to get why Sophia liked here.
Sure, Joseph was annoying, but everyone else was kind and friendly.
Plus, they were his own relatives, so he didn't need to be overly cautious.
After breakfast, Joseph took Oliver and Sophia to kindergarten.
He also updated the contact info for Oliver and Sophia's parents to his and Cassie's.
The kindergarten teacher was surprised. "So they are twins. No wonder they play so well together."
"Yep, if there's anything, you can contact Cassie and me anytime," Joseph said cheerfully, flashing a charming smile.
The kindergarten teachers were all smitten.
On the way back to the company, Joseph called Cassie.
Normally, Cassie would have ignored the call, but thinking of Oliver and Sophia, she answered. "How was Oliver last night?"
"He was fine. I told him I'd take him and Sophia to play soccer tonight," Joseph said proudly. "Oliver agreed."
Cassie, driving, looked annoyed. She didn't expect Oliver to switch sides so quickly.
"Do you want to come?" Joseph suddenly asked in a low voice. "We'll be playing at the soccer field near Sunshine Square."
"I have to cook for my husband. I won't be free," Cassie said through gritted teeth.
"It's not right to abandon Oliver and Sophia just because you got married," Joseph said with a hint of resentment. "Actually, they all hope we could recon..."
Before he could finish, Cassie hung up.
He smiled and didn't get angry. With Oliver and Sophia around, he could stir things up. He didn't believe David wouldn't be exposed.
David was indeed close to being exposed.
Especially after being hit by Cassie last night, he had been holding back his anger all night.
In the morning, as soon as he arrived at the company, he pinned Lola on the desk to vent his anger.
"David, about the production line..." Arthur pushed open the office door and suddenly saw the scene inside. He was completely stunned before he could finish his sentence.
He never expected the usually gentle and elegant David to be having sex in the office, and wasn't David only in love with Cassie?
Lola hurriedly put on her clothes in fear.
David's face was filled with embarrassment and shame, with a hint of regret and anger in his eyes.
"Get out. Who told you to seduce me." David pushed Lola away harshly.
Lola, seeing his fierce look, fled in tears and embarrassment.
Arthur stood there, dumbfounded, his mind blank. It wasn't until the door closed that he snapped back to reality, a surge of anger rising. He rushed forward and punched David. "You bastard."
David didn't dodge, and after taking the punch, he wiped his mouth and sneered. "Yes, I am a bastard."
Arthur was livid. "David, how could you do this to Cassie? How long have you been married? Is this your love for her? It's disgusting."
Even though Arthur couldn't be with Cassie anymore, he still wanted her to be happy. He thought David could give her that, but seeing him be intimate with Lola shattered that belief.
He felt deeply pained for Cassie.
He thought, 'Cassie is such a good person. Why does she keep encountering scumbags?'
"You think I want this?" David ripped off his nearly falling tie and yelled. "She doesn't love me at all. Since we got married, she hasn't even let me sleep with her. Look at my head."
He pointed to his reddened forehead. "Just because I wanted to sleep with her, she hit me."
Arthur's mouth dropped open in shock.
After a long pause, he said, "But you can't have sex with Lola, especially not in the office first thing in the morning."
He couldn't continue because the scene made him sick. If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he wouldn't believe the always-respected David would do such a thing.
"Arthur, I'm a man. I have libido." David looked at him in pain. "For her, I've waited another year. We haven't done it yet, or I would never do anything to betray her. You have no right to blame me. Didn't you easily have sex with Olivia before? You should understand that feeling."
Arthur's handsome face was filled with pain. Yes, he understood, so he lost Cassie forever.
David suddenly smiled bitterly. "She never let go of Joseph in her heart. On our wedding night, Joseph sent me photos of him and Cassie in bed. I've never been so devastated. My wife, on our wedding night, slept with Joseph."
Arthur's lips trembled. "David, Cassie was taken by Joseph that night against her will. If you can't take it, get a divorce. Why hurt her by cheating? She's suffered too much in her life."
"Arthur, I love her. I love her so much that without her and I would lose the will to live." David looked at him pleadingly. "Please don't tell Cassie. I'll make Lola leave and won't have any more entanglements with her."
Arthur looked bewildered.
"Arthur, Cassie has already gone through one failed marriage. If you tell her about this, it would be a second blow. I'm begging you, as long as you don't say anything, I'll give you half the shares of the company," David said humbly.
"David, I don't need that. Once, I gave up my relationship with Cassie for power and money. That was the biggest regret of my life. I just want her to be happy," Arthur said as he stepped back. "I won't say anything about today for now, but if you mess around with Lola behind her back again, I will definitely tell her."
After saying that, he turned and left.
After the door closed, David's sorrowful face was replaced by a cold one. He took out his phone and dialed a number. "Keep an eye on Arthur. If he goes to find Cassie, make him disappear."
After hanging up, he sighed softly, thinking, 'Arthur, you shouldn't have known what you shouldn't know. I still need to maintain my image, so now is not the time to be exposed. Hope you don't bring about your own destruction.'
