Chapter 32 This pair of scumbag and bitch
It was pouring rain outside, and Cassie was thrown into the water, feeling immense resentment and sorrow.
She had worked so hard, wanting to start over, but Olivia kept targeting her, even now ruining her reputation in the design world. Who would dare to hire her in the future?
She suddenly felt that her life was very tragic.
She didn't know how long she had been sitting on the ground when the iron gate slowly opened.
Olivia walked up to her with an umbrella, her face smug. "Cassie, thank you. Your design helped me secure this project. You really have talent."
Cassie looked up at her with bloodshot eyes, filled with hatred.
Olivia continued to smile, "You don't need to be so angry. Even without your design, the project would have been mine. Arthur's uncle and Felix are good friends. Your work just made it more legitimate for me."
Cassie thought to herself, 'Arthur's uncle? Joseph?'
She felt like she could hardly breathe.
She had genuinely been grateful for the opportunity he had given her, but it turned out he had arranged the outcome all along. He knew how hard she had worked for this bid.
Her eyes were wet, but she couldn't tell if it was rain or tears.
The worse Cassie looked, the better Olivia felt.
"Too bad everyone now knows about you. There's no place for you in this industry anymore. You're really poor. But don't worry, I'll take care of Mom and Dad, and Height Architectural Decoration Company and Arthur will be in good hands with me."
"Olivia, what did I ever do to offend you? Why are you doing this to me?" Cassie, losing all reason, lunged at her, pinning her to the ground and choking her.
Olivia, however, wasn't worried and gave her a strange smile.
Before Cassie could react, a rough force threw her into a mud pit.
Arthur quickly pulled Olivia up, took off his coat, and wrapped it around her, holding her tightly.
"I'm fine. Cassie failed the bid today and is not in a good mood," Olivia shivered in Arthur's arms.
"You're still speaking up for her?" Arthur gritted his teeth and glared at Cassie on the ground. "You even tried to harm Olivia. You're so vicious. I can't believe I ever liked you."
Cassie stared at his face. "Yeah, I regret ever liking you too. I must have been blind."
"Say that again!" Arthur was completely enraged.
"You not only broke the bidding rules but also can't tell right from wrong!" Cassie screamed. "Do you really think she could design those blueprints?"
"Watch your mouth." Arthur slapped her hard across the face, sending her crashing back to the ground.
Her face burned with pain, but it was nothing compared to the pain in her heart.
Who had promised to protect her for a lifetime?
Who had said he didn't like Olivia?
Who had told her just days ago to wait for him?
Luckily, she didn't wait, and she couldn't afford to wait.
Arthur's eyes widened. However, seeing her in such a sorry state, he said with deep hatred, "Don't think everyone is as filthy as you. Olivia stayed up late every night to complete that design. Yes, she started learning late, but she has talent. Everything that happened today is your fault. Turn back before everyone despises you."
