Chapter 1146 I Am Really Crazy

Michael was shocked. "Julia, I didn't see this coming."

"It was all Isla's doing. I can't stand two-faced people," Julia said calmly.

Laura suddenly got it. Julia wasn't joking around with Isla.

Michael chimed in, "Julia, you're spot on. Isla's so fake, always playing the victim like we're the bad guys."

Julia shot back, "If you can see that, why couldn't you see through Megan's tricks before?"

Michael was at a loss for words.

Laura added, "When a person cares about someone, he thinks they're always right. We see Isla's act, but Benjamin can't because he thinks she's genuinely sacrificing for him. And her feelings for him are real."

"Exactly," Julia agreed. "But I can't stand people who hurt others just because they like someone."

Laura was surprised. She didn't expect Julia to share her views.

She used to think Julia was cold, but maybe she wasn't so bad.

They arrived at the Jude Villa.

Laura braced herself for a scolding, but when Caroline approached with concern and touched her face, she felt a lump in her throat.

"Laura, that must've hurt," Caroline sighed.

"Caroline," Laura said, feeling warmth in her chest.

Even though Laura was now the Jude family's goddaughter, she always felt they only cared because of the baby she was carrying. But now, she genuinely felt their care and love.

"Alright, no need to say anything. Julia told me everything. Benjamin's too much," Caroline said to Julia. "He knows Laura's part of our family and still acts like this. I don't want to see any Hayes Group products on the market."

Without products on the market, the Hayes Group would be in trouble.

"Mom, and the Tarro family too," Michael quickly added.

"Don't worry. We won't let this slide," Caroline said firmly.

"Michael, you did well," Eric surprisingly praised.

"Grandpa," Michael said, flattered and blushing slightly. "I didn't think much. I caused trouble for the family again."

"The Jude family doesn't look for trouble, but we won't be bullied. If someone slaps us, we don't just take it. That's not our style," Eric said with a cold smile. "Alright, it's late. Let's have dinner. Laura, you shouldn't go back tonight to avoid more trouble."

Laura hesitated but then nodded.

She really didn't want to go back to Riverside Blossom. Before, she could've gone to Cassie, but now that Cassie and Joseph were back together, she didn't want to intrude.

After dinner, Laura went upstairs to rest.

Since she got pregnant, the Jude family set up a bedroom for her, but she rarely used it.

After a bath, she stepped onto the balcony to enjoy the night view. The garden was beautiful.

Just then, Michael appeared on the adjacent balcony. Fresh out of the shower, he was only in his underwear.

Not expecting anyone, he stretched lazily. When he saw Laura, their eyes met, and both froze.

Though they'd been intimate before, Laura hadn't really looked at him closely. Her eyes instinctively fell on his pink underwear.

She smirked.

Michael noticed Laura in a sky-blue silk nightgown, clearly seeing she wasn't wearing anything underneath.

He blushed.

Realizing this, Laura's face turned red with anger. "Michael, you pervert."

She locked the sliding door.

Michael, stunned, quickly retreated into his room, blushing.

He thought, 'What was I thinking? So embarrassing.'

For the first time, he felt frustrated and embarrassed, sure Laura would laugh at him.

Michael couldn't sleep all night.

Next door, Laura was also kept awake because of Michael.

Initially, she thought about Benjamin and Isla, but Michael's image kept intruding.

She didn't want to think about it; the balcony scene was too embarrassing, even though she was pregnant.

The next morning, Laura opened her door just as Michael, in an orange shirt, stepped out.

Michael loved bright colors, unlike most high-ranking people who preferred subdued tones. But he looked like a movie star in anything.

At that moment, Laura couldn't look at his face.

She turned to walk away.

Michael's face darkened. Seeing her avoid him, he grabbed her hand. "What are you doing?"

"Michael, let go, you pervert." Laura struggled.

Frustrated, Michael blurted out, "I'm not. If you hadn't been dressed like that on the balcony, would I have gotten aroused?"

Laura was stunned, thinking, 'What was I wearing last night?'

She remembered and blushed even more.

"You pervert." She kicked his leg.

Michael bent over in pain, screaming.

Aaron came down, saw the scene, and laughed. "Michael, Laura, what's going on?"

"She's ruining me," Michael said through gritted teeth.

Aaron laughed. "It's okay. You already have a child, no need to worry."

Michael was silent, thinking, 'Aaron, seriously?'

Laura laughed. "Aaron, let's go have breakfast."

"Sure." Aaron nodded.
