"You trashed my hospital and hurt our patients. I can call the cops!"
Lucas looked up slowly, "Mr. Foster, I know you got the Dixon family backing you. Even if I call the cops, it won't do much. But you gotta understand, this is a hospital with a ton of patients. In this country, what do you think people will say if healthcare can't be guaranteed? We got the internet, man; if you make a big scene, it won't end well."
He paused, then smirked, "After all, the Dixon family might be ambitious, but they ain't running the whole show yet."
David's body shook, and he smiled, "Since you know so much, you should understand the importance of making quick decisions. You must've noticed the changes in Whisperlyn City. Sometimes, if you wait too long, things might not go your way."
Cassie was shocked by what she heard. She thought, 'David's words are a blatant display of his ambition. Has this guy become so arrogant?'
"The Nelson family never makes choices," Lucas said coldly.
"Really? I remember you and Michael are pretty tight, right?" David laughed, "Besides, you stopped me today. Do you think anyone will believe you, Lucas? Look, your buddy Joseph is sucking up to Marigold like a dog. He's way smarter than you."
Lucas's expression changed slightly. "David, a person must have principles!"
"Principles?" David laughed arrogantly, "As long as I have power and influence, what do principles matter?"
"Fine, then. You can go. But as long as I'm here today, you won't touch these two." Lucas's face was ice-cold, and his gaze was unwavering.
"Fine, just wait!" David sneered and left with his men.
"Too arrogant." Aiden was furious. In his over forty years of life, he had never encountered such a situation.
"Mr. Nelson, thank you for today. But..." Cassie looked deeply worried, "From your tone just now, is the Jude family also in trouble now?"
"Most of the elite families in Whisperlyn City have sided with David. You know David has Ralph behind him," Lucas frowned deeply, "Since Ralph and David started collaborating, it was destined that this was no longer just business competition. Aiden sighed unwillingly, "If I leave now, my company will be gone."
"Do you think staying will save your company?" Lucas shook his head, "It's impossible. I've already learned that the major elite families will suppress your company."
Aiden went quiet, and Cassie said, "It's not that I don't wanna leave; it's that I can't. David said he won't let my visa process quickly. If it drags on for a month, Madison might already be a mess."
Lucas frowned, "That's very likely. The Dixon family has already secretly roped in a bunch of politicians. It's easy for them to hold up your visa."
Cassie felt even more desperate hearing this, "Actually, I'm not worried about myself. I'm mainly concerned about the two kids."
"Don't worry, I'll find a way for Joseph's kids," Lucas said seriously.
Aiden, however, was still fuming, "You're Joseph's friend and willing to help find a solution, but what about Joseph himself? At this time, he shows no concern for his own child."
Lucas said, "Aiden, don't be mad. I always felt Joseph isn't that kind of person. He must have his own plans."
"He does have plans. He's so smart; he must have anticipated the Dixon family's intentions before any of us. That's why he went to please Marigold first. With Marigold, the Hernandez family will be safe," Aiden sneered.
"Dad, don't be mad. He lost his memory, so he doesn't have much affection for us. It's normal for everyone to act in their own interest," Cassie comforted her father.
After Lucas left, Cassie felt even worse. She thought, 'If it weren't for Lucas, she wouldn't have known how dire the situation had become.'
She called Laura, "Laura, how are you now?"
"I'm at the villa, Cassie. I heard about your dad. Sorry, I don't have time to come over. The Jude family told me not to go out recently," Laura said softly.
"I know, I heard." Cassie gripped her phone tightly, "The Jude family."
"Cassie, some things are not convenient to discuss over the phone."
Indeed, the Jude family might already be under surveillance, and Laura's phone might be bugged, "Alright, I haven't seen you in a while. I'll come to see you later."
She drove quickly to Laura's villa.

Cassie was shocked, "How could Mr. Jude let the Dixon family grow to this extent?"
"There's really no way around it. The Jude family and the Dixon family were close partners. Ralph was his biggest contributor after Mr. Jude became president. Many people have good relations with Ralph. Mr. Jude has been wary of him for a long time, but he couldn't suppress him immediately. This gave the Dixon family an opportunity. Plus, David's rapid rise made many people choose the Dixon family."
