Chapter 932 Where Have You Taken Me?

Nathaniel felt utterly overwhelmed, even to the point of wanting to die. Joseph's act of stealing another man's wife had already spread throughout Silverwood. Now, the internet was flooded with curses.

The Hernandez group's official website had been bombarded to the point of crashing, yet Mr. Hernandez still intended to hold a wedding.

He thought, 'The bride you're planning to marry is already married to someone else, okay? Mr. Hernandez, are you having another mental breakdown?'

However, due to Mr. Hernandez's authority, he didn't dare to voice this, and he could only reluctantly agree.

Five hours later, the helicopter landed on a private island with a grand estate built in the center.

At this moment, the estate's servants were busy arranging the wedding. Joseph gently placed Cassie on the large bed in the master bedroom.

Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, a vast expanse of deep blue sea stretched endlessly. Here, it was tranquil, allowing him to feel less agitated. He could quietly gaze at her as if she were his beloved wife, with no one to disrupt them.

However, when he saw Cassie's red dress, his eyes narrowed in displeasure.

"Bring me the bridal gown," he ordered.

Soon, a brand-new white wedding dress was brought over. After Joseph personally dressed her in it, Cassie soon woke up, clutching her sore neck.

She looked around the unfamiliar room, feeling a bit dizzy. Looking down, she saw she was wearing a wedding dress she had never seen before, adorned with many tiny pearls, making her look like a mermaid.

But how did she get here?

Where was this place?

She remembered Joseph barging in and knocking her out during her wedding to David. Her face changed as she glanced out the window; it was already dark outside.

At this moment, Joseph walked in with a tray. He was wearing dress pants, a white shirt, and a black vest. His hair was styled back, revealing a smooth forehead, making him look as radiant as a deity.

"You're awake. Have some dessert," Joseph said tenderly, placing the tray on the bedside table.

"Joseph, you lunatic, where have you taken me?" Cassie struggled to get up, ignoring him, and ran barefoot towards the door.

But before she could get far, Joseph grabbed her arm and placed a pair of clean slippers in front of her. "Put these on first."

"I won't wear them," Cassie said, unable to stay calm, kicking the slippers away.

"If you don't wear them, I won't let you leave," Joseph said, his tone still gentle despite the slight force in his grip. "Don't hurt your feet."

For some reason, the way Joseph acted made Cassie feel disgusted.

How could someone be so terrifying at the wedding and now show such an extreme duality?

Did Joseph have schizophrenia?

After hesitating for a moment, considering that it would be unsuitable to escape barefoot, Cassie put on the slippers. Once Joseph let go of her, she ran out like a mad woman.

This was an unfamiliar place, large and castle-like, with wedding decorations everywhere, as if a grand wedding had just taken place.

As she passed by the servants, they all smiled at her and greeted her, "Hello, Mrs. Hernandez."

Cassie felt a chill run down her spine and quickened her pace.

But after rushing out of the villa, she found herself in another vast estate. She ran for a long time, even into an unfamiliar forest, only to be met by an endless sea. She was completely stunned.

Could it be that she was no longer in Madison?

At that moment, she realized her phone was not with her, and a fear she hadn't felt in a long time began to creep over her.

Footsteps approached from behind. She turned around to see Joseph walking towards her, his dark eyes as deep as the night sky above.

She went completely mad. "Joseph, you lunatic, where have you taken me? Do you even understand that I'm already married to David? Kidnapping someone's wife is illegal."

"That would only be illegal if David reports it. If he doesn't, then it's not a crime," Joseph said, his hands in his pockets, a nonchalant smile on his face.

Cassie was stunned. Could it be that after he took her, David didn't call the police?

"Did you threaten David again?" Cassie looked up, her eyes blazing with anger.

"If he accepted my threat, it means you aren't that important to him," Joseph said, looking down at her.

The sea breeze tousled her thick, flowing hair. He couldn't help but reach out to brush it aside, but she slapped his hand away.

Cassie sneered, "What else can you threaten him with besides the company? Come on, even if it were you, you wouldn't act this way."

"I would," Joseph replied without hesitation. Perhaps he wouldn't have before, but now he truly understood that only she mattered. "Cassie, money can be earned again, but losing you is a pain I can't bear."

"Shut up," Cassie retorted, not believing a word from him. "You always say such touching things, but who has hurt me the most over these years? Joseph, why did I choose David? Because I don't want to live a life where every hope I have for you is constantly being destroyed. It's too exhausting. You have no trust in me, and we will never be happy."

"We will be. From now on, I'll believe whatever you say," Joseph said, placing his hands painfully on her shoulders. "I understand now that loving someone means accepting them unconditionally, whether they're good or bad."

"You didn't just realize this now; you've always known it, at least when it comes to Megan. No matter how malicious she is, you still love her," Cassie shouted at him.

"I... I didn't know," Joseph said with a bitter smile. "I've known Megan since we were kids. I didn't realize when she changed. Cassie, I have nothing to do with her anymore. I've blocked her on WhatsApp and her phone number. I won't care about anything that happens to her from now on."

"Enough, stop talking. There's no future for us. I've given up on you a long time ago. I just want to live a good life with David now. Please, let me go back." Cassie shook her head. "I really don't love you anymore. There's nothing left for you in my heart. Otherwise, I wouldn't have married David."
