"Why don't you call and see where Sophia is?" Cassie raised an eyebrow in a reminder.

Joseph's heart trembled violently. He quickly found Sophia's phone number and dialed it, but he couldn't get through.

"What did you do to Sophia?" Joseph's eyes were filled with murderous intent as if he was about to kill Cassie the next second.

"I can let you video call with Sophia, but you have to give me my phone back." Cassie extended her hand towards Joseph.

Joseph immediately had someone bring Cassie's phone over. Cassie dialed Peter's number, and a man wearing a mask appeared on the screen.

"Let him see the child," Cassie ordered.
nbsp;
Soon, Peter handed the phone to Sophia.

"Uncle Joseph..." Sophia looked up with a bright smile. Joseph glanced at the background and realized it wasn't Willow Creek Estates; it was a completely unfamiliar place.

"Sophia, why didn't you go to school today?" he asked urgently.
nbsp;
"Aunt Cassie said she would take me out to play today. She had this person bring me here. Uncle Joseph, can you ask Aunt Cassie when she'll come?" Sophia said innocently. nbsp;"I'm so bored."
nbsp;
"Sophia, do you know where you are?" nbsp;he then asked.
nbsp;
"No, it's my first time here," nbsp;Sophia answered.
nbsp;
"Sophia, it's time to give the phone back to me." Peter snatched the phone away and then looked at the camera with a smile. nbsp;"Cassie, you better come back soon. Sophia needs you. I don't have much patience with kids."

He hung up after saying that.

Joseph immediately threw the phone at Cassie. nbsp;"You bitch, you would nbsp;even harm a child who trusts you wholeheartedly. You're truly vicious. I was a fool ever to like you."

The phone hit Cassie's forehead hard. In that instant, the pain almost made her faint. Cassie barely managed to stand, touching her forehead to find it swollen.

"You keep calling me vicious. I'm goddamn nbsp;vicious, so nbsp;if you don't let us out within ten minutes, I can't guarantee what will happen to Sophia." Cassie threatened coldly.

"You dare threaten me?" Joseph's tall figure stepped closer, his handsome face filled with murderous intent.
nbsp;
"Do you want to try?" Cassie asked with a smile. nbsp;"Have you forgotten how much Sophia likes you and how cute she looks when she smiles?"

Joseph's body froze, his eyes flashing dark red. Strangely, the thought of never seeing Sophia again made him feel as if his heart was being torn out.

"Cassie, the biggest mistake of my life was falling in love with you. Get out, take your guy, and get nbsp;the hell nbsp;out," Joseph roared at her with hatred. nbsp;"But let me tell you, once you walk out that door, I have a thousand ways to make your lives a living hell."

"I've experienced many of your tortures. One more time won't make a difference," nbsp;she sneered.

Cassie helped the bloodied Spencer step by step out of the basement.
nbsp;
Dragon's men surrounded them, but Cassie acted as if she didn't see them. As she helped Spencer out of Dragon's territory, the police arrived quickly.

"An hour ago, I received a report. Who called us?" The officer looked troubled when he saw the scene, knowing Dragon's presence made them hesitant to intervene.

"Me." Cassie raised her hand. nbsp;"Here's the thing: a few days ago, Miss Ray was kidnapped. When Joseph went to rescue Megan, he saw this guy nbsp;with Miss Ray in a cave. Joseph assumed he was the kidnapper, so I called the police. After all, anyone accused of a crime needs to be investigated, interrogated, and judged by the police, right?"

"You're right, and you did the right thing." the officer nodded, giving a pointed look at the bloodied Spencer. nbsp;"No one should take the law into their own hands, or this world would be chaotic and without order."

Joseph's face turned grim. He never expected Cassie to be so cunning, even calling the police in advance.
