Chapter 839
Megan was very angry when she heard it.
Joseph was completely attracted by Cassie. And now, even Michael, the substitute for emotions, was always with Laura.
Indeed, Cassie's good friend was equally annoying and despicable.
"Michael, I'm so annoyed," Megan said with sadness. " I used to have Athena with me, but now even Athena has been transferred."
"Wasn't Athena supposed to stay here to protect you?" Michael's voice suddenly raised.
"Athena also follows Dragon's arrangements." Megan sighed bitterly. "The caregiver left too, saying I have a bad temper. I never thought I would end up in this miserable situation."
"Damn! Joseph is really ruthless." Michael also didn't expect Joseph to be so heartless. Even if he wanted to break up, there was no need to rush to transfer subordinates. "Don't overthink. I'll be right over," he then added.
Michael hung up the phone and turned to leave. And happened to see Laura standing behind Michael, not knowing how long she had been standing there.
She was dressed in a white knitted dress, wore a white baseball cap on her head, and had a faint smile on her lips. At first glance, she looked beautiful and mysterious, like a low-key celebrity.
"Hi, Mr. Jude. How did you know I moved to Riverside Blossom?" Laura smiled and raised her eyebrows mischievously. "Was it Joseph told you?"
When she mentioned this, Michael was furious.
It was Lucas who told Michael about this. Michael remembered that this was clearly Joseph's house, yet it was directly transferred to Laura.
Laura sighed softly. "Mr. Hernandez is just too generous. I originally wanted to live with Cassie. But Mr. Hernandez thought I was unnecessary, so he gave me this duplex. I live alone... it's really cool."
"Have you said enough?" Michael rebutted.
On the way there, Michael told himself to control his temper. But he found that every time he communicated with Laura, his blood pressure soared, and he felt like killing Laura.
"Okay. I'm done. Are you leaving now?" Laura wryly said and looked quietly at Michael.
"Yes, I gotta go." Michael felt particularly depressed when he said it. He had been waiting here for Laura, but when Laura arrived, he had to go to meet Megan as promised.
"Mr. Jude, you are really affectionate," Laura admired and said. "To accompany Megan, you even ignore your company. If you don't work harder, I might cooperate with the SE Group in a few days. Don't forget that I have developed a new essence with very good effects and inexpensive raw materials. Ken Smith from the SE Group is very interested."
Just as Michael was about to speak, Laura had already walked past him in high heels.
"Wait!" Michael hurriedly spoke up.
"Why aren't you leaving? Aren't you going to see Megan?" Laura asked in surprise.
Michael looked embarrassed. He didn't have the mood to see Megan now. "Laura, let's talk," he then suggested.
"Talk? There's nothing to talk about. Every time you talk to me, you yell and get angry. I've been irritable lately and really don't want to argue with you," Laura snorted and shook her head helplessly.
Michael's handsome face became very ugly after being scolded.
It sounded like everything was Michael's fault. Wasn't he the one who Laura provoked? Normally, he was quite gentlemanly with other women.
"Laura. I know I was out of line before. But you found so many ugly women to bother me last time. Now my reputation has been ruined because of you," Michael said sadly.
"What are you talking about? You should thank me. If it weren't for me, your parents would have forced you to go on blind dates with others. Now, because of me, no one wants to marry you. You can continue to wait for your Megan, isn't that great?" Laura immediately retorted, with a proud expression of "I'm doing this for your good."
Michael took a deep breath again, then exhaled and said, "Okay, thank you. You are my benefactor. Can I invite you to dinner, benefactor?"
