Chapter 1053 Liam Was His Own Brother

"Dad, I understand." Joseph sighed inwardly. He thought he was smart, but compared to Cameron, he was still too naive.

"That's my son. When you rise again, it will be time for us to take revenge," Cameron's eyes were filled with deep-seated hatred.

Joseph hesitated to say, "Dad, I want to ask you something. After you and Mom divorced, did you ever do it with her again?"

Cameron was taken aback. After a moment, a look of regret flashed in his eyes. "Why are you asking about that? It's been so many years, I don't remember. Besides, Mabel makes me sick."

"Because of her and Marcus?" Joseph asked.

"Of course, any man would be unable to stand that. I didn't care about her past with Felix, but after we got married, she should have at least kept her distance from Marcus for your sake. But she didn't care about you and hung out with Marcus every day," Cameron said angrily.

Even though it had been a long time, Cameron was still furious when he brought it up. "Later, because I beat up Marcus, she wanted to divorce me. After several fights, I was disheartened, so we eventually divorced."

"Dad, I'm not asking about your past with Mabel. I want to know if you did it with Mom after the divorce," Joseph said very seriously, "It's really important."

A rare look of embarrassment flashed across Cameron's face. "There was one time. Mabel and I fought, and I said a lot of hurtful things. Later, I felt bad about it and went back to find her. She was drunk."

Cameron didn't know that his words had already shocked Joseph.

Joseph thought to himself, 'Mom said she was drunk that time. Could it be that she was so drunk she couldn't tell who it was? So, Liam could very well be my biological brother?'

His body started to tremble violently, and he blanched.

"What's wrong with you?" Cameron became uneasy.

"Dad, did you leave right after?" Joseph asked, trembling.

"Of course. If she woke up, she would have scolded me again," Cameron snorted, "I didn't expect her to be so unrestrained. After having sex with me, she immediately had sex with Marcus. Not long after, I heard she was over a month pregnant."

"Dad, you all got it wrong," Joseph murmured, "Mom wasn't pregnant with Marcus at that time; it was yours. After you left that night, Marcus came and took your place. Mabel thought she had sex with him. When she got pregnant, she married Marcus. She said she didn't plan to marry Marcus so soon, but she did because of Liam."

Cameron was stunned.

Even though he had endured countless storms, Cameron was at a loss at this moment. "That's impossible."

"Dad, it's absolutely true. I asked Mom before I came. She didn't know the truth either." Joseph teared up in pain. "Marcus never really cared about Liam because he knew Liam wasn't his son. He used Liam to turn me against him, and Liam's death was definitely Marcus's doing."

The more Joseph thought about it, the more he couldn't accept it. He covered his eyes in agony. "I was so stupid. I caused my brother's death. If I had been calmer and not beaten Liam that day, not let Wyatt throw him out, Liam wouldn't have gone missing."

Since his childhood, Joseph and Liam had always been at odds, hating each other because of their identities.

How ridiculous. After all this time, Joseph and Liam were actually brothers.

Cameron's eyes also turned bloodshot. He thought to himself, 'I have another son. But Liam, I haven't even had a chance to meet you, and you are already dead!'

"No." Cameron punched the wall hard, blood seeping out. "Marcus is too vicious."

"Yeah," Joseph suddenly raised his bloodshot eyes. "Dad, Athena must know where Liam went last. If we capture and interrogate her, we'll find out."

Originally, he didn't want to act against Athena so soon, but now, for Liam, he had to make a move.

In an unremarkable apartment in Whisperlyn City, Wyatt called out, "Dinner's ready."

Athena came out with a slightly bulging belly.

When Wyatt saw her delicate makeup, he became a bit angry. "Athena, the doctor said you shouldn't wear makeup. It's harmful to the skin, and you're wearing so much. Can you think about the baby?"

"I am thinking about the baby. I didn't even put on eyeliner," Athena said irritably, "Besides if it weren't for the pregnancy, would I have these spots on my face? I'm just trying to cover them up."

"You!" Wyatt was speechless.

"Chicken soup again. I'm so sick of it," Athena complained.

Wyatt pressed his lips tightly, holding back. He had thought Athena was a sunny and lively girl. However, after leaving Dragon and living together, he realized she was mean and picky. They couldn't get along well with each other.

But Athena was already carrying his child, and as a man, he had to take responsibility.

Wyatt closed his eyes and held back, saying gently, "Tell me what you want to eat, and I'll buy it this afternoon."

"Okay." Athena finally sat down to eat.

Suddenly, her phone rang. It was a message from Dennis.

Dennis was Felix's cousin and now the general manager of the Chamberlain Group. When Athena glanced at the middle-aged Wyatt across from her, she felt a wave of disgust.

She used to think Wyatt was so cool and impressive, but after leaving Dragon, Wyatt lost all his charm. Plus, he was much older than her, making her like him less and less.

Athena didn't even want the baby in her belly. She thought to herself, 'If only I weren't pregnant...'

Just as she was thinking this, she suddenly felt dizzy, and she collapsed onto the table, unconscious.

Wyatt's face changed. Just as he was about to check on her, he too quickly felt dizzy and lost consciousness. As his awareness faded, he vaguely saw the door open, and Joseph walk in.

When Wyatt woke up again, he found himself in a strange wooden cabin, his body bound to a pillar with iron chains.

By the window, Joseph, dressed in black, was playing with a knife while sitting on a wooden chair, his handsome face devoid of any emotion.

"Joseph, it's you..." Before Wyatt could finish speaking, Athena, who was also tied up, screamed first, "What do you want with us?"

Joseph gave Joel a look.
